About

There's never been a more truer war fought than war of faith, for if people will not fight for what they believe in, what else is there to fight for?
You've seen it, and you've been there. Once a devoted man fighting for what he believed in, seen and believed a hero... for all the wrong reasons.
But if you've had a chance to do it again, would you do it the same?
Follow the story of Eliot Magnus (first name changeable), once a devoted man of faith and a Paladin of his god, deemed a hero. Yet a hero can be turned into a villain, for all the right reasons when he fought for all the wrong reasons before.
"It was you. You started it all. You raised me, molded me in your image. And when I saw the truth, you cast me aside—no, you did worse. You kept taking. My faith, my brothers, my world. You created me, and for that— I bless you. You make sense of the devil."

"It is not the world that is flawed, but those who inhabit it. Your ambitions, your insatiable greed, your lust for power—these petty desires have poisoned your hearts. You are weak, lacking the strength of control, discipline, and a true will. For centuries, I have stood in silence as you defiled these lands with your selfish pursuits. But no longer. If this world must end in fire, then you will burn with it, for I am the law, the judge, and the executioner of this realm."

Where is my elf girl? "sniff" All in all I enjoy the story. Someone said it was too winded, they have to stop the game because it gets too long and they don't have time. But that's what I do. I love games and good story, and if I have to stop for the day the game will still be there tomorrow. If there is sex in the game, That's a bonus. And yet someone said they only got one sex scene while someone ells said there was too much. That is so funny, the different preferences. But I try to give them all a chance, including games that have questionable Ideas. Then I will try to give a true opinion on the game considering that others won't like it for that content. For instance," I don't really like S&M but I love the look. I don't like water sports but will tolerate it for the story. So if someone says they were offended of the content then they probably shouldn't have played it because the writers are usually truthful about whats in their creation and/or give you a choice to turn off those scenes if you prefer. If it has fantasy or Sci-Fi then I will probably love it, don't care too much for gangster or Collage games Because they are boring to me. But sometimes I am surprised.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this, and I can't wait for Book 2. I loved the characters, the story, and the world itself. Best of all, it had none of the things I strongly dislike about many AVNs, mainly being all, or most, of the women having huge, oversized breasts and backsides. So I was thankful for that. Also, there is just one path to take, so no being forced to replay multiple times to get all ending for the achievements etc. It still has the odd dialogue error here and there, but this is certainly one of the most enjoyable AVNs I have played through, The story is/was quite entertaining and the characters were interesting. The lewd scenes are few, but that didn't bother me as i found the story to be quite enjoyable I certainly recommend this AVN, and i am very much looking forward to see what comes in the next instalment...
Pros: -Some choice elements -Amazing character art and other art -Some philosophical chomps -original high fantasy world Cons: -very light choice elements, mostly kinetic -some sections drag -some of the plot might be a bit to much This is, to my mind at least, a high fantasy visual novel. Overall, I'm going to leave it as a recommend, with a caviot that this might not be the game for everyone --- not necessarily because it is an adult visual novel, but more because some of the other aspects of the game that may drag and lose some players. Now then . . . let's dive in. While there are choice elements, huge swaths of this game are missing any choice points, sometimes for a couple hours of game play ... it almost felt as though the creators perhaps forgot how to do the choice points and had to refresh themselves . .. idk ..... in any event, for any sequel, I pray to the aspects that there are more choice points, and that they are ... less light .... some choice points that were present seemed like they probably didn't really matter, and were most likely false choices....which is fine....but when there are so few to begin with, that can be a struggle. I think part of the challenge is that usually conversational choice points help the player define the character's personality, but here the game's creators had a clear vision of the protagonists personality arc, so that really couldn't happen....anywho, please more choice points! As often with these adult games, the art work was mesmerizing .... yes, all the female characters for the most part were awe inspiring and the non-character art was great as high fantasy art ought to be. Loved it! Some of the non-main character art later in the game seemed a bit iffy, but I felt like that wasn't a deal breaker. Anyway, A+ for the visual part of visual novel. Now, as for the novel part of visual novel .... well, as mentioned by other reviewers, this was a story game. I really liked some of the philosophical depth in some of the character conversations. And the world was very interesting too ... though, I kind of felt like some of it was a little over the top....honestly, I'd settle for a plot a little less world rending. And the whole levels of power thing seemed like something just out of manga or an animie ... not saying it didn't work, but, honestly, some of my favorite parts of the game were in the begining when the prot was just a normal adventurer with a cute elf side kick. I'd have loved a whole game just on that, without all the multi-power-level-god stuff. Just saying . . . that said, it was an interesting story with a lot of depth and feels, made all the more so by the expressive art. While some sections did drag and I kind of got to the point where even I (who normally love character conversations) was like less talky talky, can't say I didn't for the most part enjoy it. I think in the end I give this a recommend for fans of philosophical high fantasy games. Yes, there is adult parts, but considering the size of this work, they shouldn't be a deal breaker unless you really hate adult stuff. I woulf offer one last criticism that the prot at times seemed like a glorified womanizer, as I felt thoroughly bad for his epic level ladies, but once more, it was basically a good game. I give it 3 out of 5 slaps to the face.
Nice story idea, but very clumsily implemented. Writing, pacing, keeping the reader interested are all weak points. Basically lost all interest in Chapter 4 on how story will end. Cannot recommend financial or time commitment to this product.
great book. game. took me about 30 hours to finish. 7/10 great mid F.
Its good if you enjoy reading. Characters and story is pretty good for an avn.
I love the story, I am not here for the sex and licit art. But I do not mind them either. But I do really need a great story and this one has it. Some may call it lengthy or say you have to read a lot. If you were looking for a visual novel you have it here. I would definitely recommend.
I play offline, so the play time is a whole lot more. I wish you could give a middle ground instead of a thumbs up or down. I'll start with the bad, the story is way to wordy. It's focus is on story, and i just had to tab through some text. Also the dev did some transitions between renders, and that adds to the play time. taking forever. The renders are nice, and even the few animations. Up to the end of book one it was at least cohesive. Once you get to the dlc that's included, the story gets a little messy. The devs next game was a ton better, so i hope if they do a book 2 of this that those improvements are shown in it, and it doesn't drag for being too wordy. I play with the sound off, so i can't judge the music.
Giving this a Yes because it is first and foremost, a novel, and that's what its listed as, an AVN. Story is interesting, there are a lot of choices and the scenes, when they happen, are well done. With that, if you came here expecting to nail every elf and lady of the manor in sight...you will be disappointed. There aren't many scenes and you will have to like reading...a lot. So if you are more interested in story than the "adult" aspect of an AVN, this one is for you.
Engaging story. Find myself reading every line rather than going rapidly from one scene to the next. Enjoying seeing things slowly develop rather than in an instant.
