Really fun game, can be quite hard. You have two options: Being patient, or speedrun the hell out of it.

First of all the positives: The game looks undeniably beautiful, there has been put a lot of attention and love in making this game beautiful. You really get the 2.5D experience that the game is supposed to be. The surroundings and background really add depth, while still keeping the platform vibe of the game. The ambiance, sounds and music make that even better. The gameplay, controlwise, is very simple but not boring. Although you only use your mouse to control the obstacles and variations in landscape and angles make it that the game is not boring in the slightest. You can easily go hours playing this game without getting bored. There is not really a story except looking for your mom, but that doesn't really matter. I feel like that part only has been added to give the game a purpose and ending, but it doesn't really need a story imo so thats good. Some negatives: This is a true Ragequit game, it is up there with games like Getting Over It. But while that game is intended to make you fail and rage over and over again, I don't know if Glenn intended that when he created Eggy. None the less this game is really difficult after the first level, and while a challange is good (otherwise it gets boring) it can get really demoralising after a while, especially because there are also coloured eggs to find in hidden places, but because it such a challange just to get to the next checkpoint already, you just don't want to put the energy in finding them. This can easily be fixed with some choice in difficulty, with f.e: more checkpoints, less enemies, or slower enemies. So that people who want to rage can still rage, but that people who just want to vibe with an egg can also enjoy the game. TL;DR: Very beautiful, not boring 2.5D platform game, but with a high ragequit factor
