Ecstatic

Wow, this little title is a real blast! A mouse-movement-based top-down arena shooter with Panzer Dragoon-like lock-on and Superhot-like freeze mechanics? This mixture is quite enjoyable and the upgrade mechanic is also quite fresh! The whole package is genuinely hard and the soundtrack is banger (there is even an option for custom track conversion). A definite recommendation for indie-arcade-action-affectionados!

Losing at the three minute point in a song to a single hit makes me want to self harm. Ecstatic (Masochistic) is like a hyperbolic chamber for experiencing anger at levels and speeds never seen before. Not only is it not very fun but the gameplay sucks too. You shoot and dodge for two minutes straight, then an enemy spawns right next to you, shoots a pellet with [b]NO ATTACK INDICATOR[/b], and all your progress is immediately gone. [h2]I rate it an 8/10 torture simulator[/h2]; all it needs is some ear rape and how about you randomly mirror the controls too?
