Walk in, search for a key. Enter another room, search for a key. Keep checking doors over and over again until one unlocks, search for another key. Lame "jumpscares" and sound effects. Got bored, and quit. Rating: 1/10
Terrible, lifeless piece of garbage that trolls you until you get near the end and can't PICK UP the next key right in front of you to continue. Even being a free game is a joke. I'd rather drink cat vomit then play this trash. Shoulda chose the cat vomit.
"Echoveil : The Last Guest" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is yet another of literally thousands of asset flipped first person horror adventure games, made by assembling a bunch of Unreal assets on a basic first person horror game blueprint/game pack. Sometimes the developers at least put some work into making all the stuff work together, but they didn't bother here (but when they can't spell "Interactive" properly in their own publisher name, what hope do they have of being able to make an actually worthwhile video game? (Spoiler: None). So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Echoveil : The Last Guest". The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. I didn't pay money, but I still feel ripped off.

За использование таких звуков шагов разработчиков надо сажать на пожизненное.
not sure how some of you even could play this. i couldn't open any doors except reception to look at the list of rooms. walk around for 10 minutes trying the doors. i know there are rooms cause you can kind of glitch through the wall and glimpse whats in there but alas. Also say the number on the floor couldn't pick that up. at least it was free.
А***ительний геймплей, 11 дверей ада, вот только взял литсовку одну и туже во второй раз так на ней и завис)
Багов прям очень много, заебался с этими дверьми, но всё же прошёл кое-как.
