Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Éalú is an award winning, 2 to 4 hour long, meditative experience, depending on how deeply you explore the maze, focused on physical craft and reflection - made by a small, independent team of artists. It's best defined as a highly interactive, silent film set to a gorgeous instrumental score.
------------------------------
In a cozy, quiet nest at the heart of a stone-and-wood labyrinth, a clockwork mouse sleeps — and dreams of the outside world.
When it awakens, the only way forward is through. To escape, the mouse must rely on clever thinking, keen senses, and hope — despite past failures. The maze is filled with locked doors, cryptic puzzles, and lurking dangers. But maybe, this time, freedom is possible.
Rock Paper Shotgun's Edwin Evans-Thirwell wrote
"It's a lovely-looking thing - a 'true stop-motion game' "
PC Gamer's Ted Litchfield wrote, on previewing Éalú, that it's
"...Somewhat unsettling, like a cross between Myst and Wallace and Gromit—cozy, but also lonely, with flashes of something sinister here and there."
"...I think Beyond the Bark is cooking with a really special, singular atmosphere."
Heybox / 不羁猫探索队 scored Éalú 4/4 and remarked
"The strongest thematic unity of any indie I played this season… its handcrafted stop-motion quality simply cannot be replicated in 3D."
Guide a wooden, clockwork mouse from the maze’s center to its outer edges.
Solve environmental puzzles, uncover clues, and have dangerous encounters.

Éalú is a spiritual sequel to "Tomcat Disposables" by Will Wood. If you're keen to know more, said short film can be seen by searching for Tomcat Disposables on YouTube, & gives backstory for our beloved mouse. The themes which inspired our game & its mechanics center on the confusing, sometimes destructive nature of algorithm driven behavioral loops, & the potential to be drawn in by or escape them.
As mentioned at the top, based on playtests we anticipate that, for most players, Éalú will be a focused 2 to 4 hour long experience. We put a lot of thought, time & care into our wordless story & it's themes which are expressed in tandem with phenomenal music, all with a goal of creating the ability to control a character in a gorgeous silent film.
Éalú is true, old-school stop-motion. Every animation was captured via photography frame-by-frame using real sets, hand-crafted props, and a physical wooden mouse. Over 512 video clips were painstakingly made by a single animator — mostly in a garden shed — and brought to life in Unity by one developer carefully ensuring that each movement flowed into the next.
All of the music was composed and recorded specifically for this artistic work by a single composer, and every illustration was drawn by hand.
Éalú was made with no budget & no crowdfunding. Just 4 people passionate about the project:
Ivan Owen of Beyond the Bark- Concept, design, animation & writing
Benjamin Orr- Design, Unity development & writing
Will Wood- Musical composition, performance & recording
JT Paton- Original illustrations & promotional art
We hope you enjoy experiencing Éalú as much as we loved making it.

an incredibly cute, enjoyable, and quaint little game. Well worth the money just for the amount of effort and style alone.

A genuinely charming piece of art and expression. Beautiful little creations create a lovely sense of play and adventure, we truly want our little wooden friend to find freedom. A minor error in cursor interaction was quickly remidied with detailed instructions in changing resolution from a community response by the creators. While it seems uncommon, I'm grateful this little hiccough didn't ruin the delight of the adventure.
Absolutely beautiful game
I really loved the game and éalú had some very good puzzles, a great style (especially since it was stop-motion), great music and I will definitally continue to play until I get that secret room. I've spent 7 hours playing so far (which is crazy for what only feels like I played a few days) but I would absolutely play it more! I would absolutely recommend :)
If you really dont mind super slow not very challenging puzzle games, go for it, otherwise just go look up Will Woods on youtube and watch his videos/listen to his music, which are very good. Love the stop motion and the music but holy cow is it sluggish, every mouse (!!!) button locks you into animations that last seconds, puzzles dont stay solved between deaths meaning a puzzle that took you a few minutes to slog through will have to be re-redone every cycle.
Be sure to have Paper and some form of marker for the best experience. Very calm point and click adventure escape room. If Your game shy/new or know someone who is this is the perfect wholesome gateway into gaming. <3 I'm going to get my mum to play this. XD
Silly cute game <3
