It's okay to get bad reviews, but it's still like you guys. It doesn't matter if there are more or fewer bad reviews. People still knock WRC but for what you get and if you sort out Nvidia control panel properly, if you're GPU is Nvidia of course, then the graphics are pretty damn good and as for the actual gameplay...What is not good about it? Nothing...It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as far as i'm concerned. Just get the game, more content than any other Sim I reckon. Recommend 100% @simracingcockneyherbert AKA Mickey

Pros - This can be your best "first rally game" or even the best intro to racing sim because of the school mode - Satisfying force feedback (better than Assetto Corsa Rally and DiRT Rally 2.0 in my opinion) - The best career mode among rally sims - AI difficulty is adjustable according to your pace - Playable on older specs (i7gen7th + GTX1060 laptop) Cons - Several buggy Anti-cheat problems - Multiplayers problems - Graphics can be a bit better for the year it launch

[h3] Dirt Rally 2.0 is a better game. [/h3] With how small the rally game market is and how similar the games are it's impossible to avoid comparing. If you're choosing between the two, pick Dirt 2.0. And, warning to players who started with Dirt 2.0, EA WRC feels lower quality despite being EA WRC being 4.5 years newer. [h3] Comparing the two, Dirt Rally 2.0 has: [/h3] - Better graphics - Better performance - The best engine sounds in any racing game - Realistic handling compared to EA WRC's arcade handling - Menus / UI are cleaner and more intuitive - Way more immersive [h3] What does EA WRC do better? [/h3] - Much more content; both more cars and more stages. Although some of the added cars clearly come from the early builds of Dirt Rally 3.0 before EA bought and discontinued it. - Livery customization is nice but comes with the removal of Dirt Rally 2.0's 6-10 premade liveries per car. Meaning if you want to use a car but don't like the livery, you're stuck with it unless you spend hours making another. - Car creation brings nothing to the game. It's shallow, and the "customization" is just changin the car's bumper and rear by picking from 5 options taken off other existing cars. - Has much more Rally locations. So you don't end up learning stages accidently. However, they don't look as good as Dirt Rally 2.0, and having more isn't redeem the game. [h3] Conclusion [/h3] Go buy Dirt Rally 2.0, it's a much better experience. If you already have, Assetto Corsa Rally is getting much better reviews and is still being improved. Or... Richard Burns Rally, which is free.

Writing a review for a half-finished game is hard. It almost feels like they scrapped the old engine at the last minute and suddenly moved everything over to UE4. And honestly, if that is the case, I have no idea what was going on for years before that... What saves the whole thing is that, in many ways, this really is DiRT Rally 3.0: the driving experience, the content, the game structure, the physics, and the handling. In these areas, it clearly surpasses its predecessors. But the huge downside is that the game is still full of bugs to this day. That applies whether you hit a rock at high speed, or simply take part in a desert stage and run into the well-known flickering issue. The optimization is also pretty terrible, but at this point, we all know that already. Since there is no real competition on the market — the KT WRC games are a very different style, and those games are basically dead now — the overall balance is still positive for me. It is a very atmospheric and enjoyable game. So despite all its negatives, I would still recommend it. Anyone who wants to spend hundreds of hours with a good rally game can safely give this one a go. I really hope the Codemasters + EA rally project will not be completely abandoned, because that would be a shame. And hopefully, next time they actually optimize the game properly, because that is easily this game’s biggest weakness.
