Good game, played a while. But the EA's greed, which cut out the levels that were available when I purchased the game and placed them in a paid DLC, broke my save. It's now impossible to play current campain. Filed a refund request.

The main reason that I got this game was because of the real stages that other games don't have. However, recently tried to play the game again and now I can't connect to EA. Apparently is an issue with 2FA or with not loading the login page. I'm not going to bother trying any workaround. The game has many issues mensioned by others and now I can't even play online. I'll keep playing Dirt Rally 2 and hope for the best with assetto corsa rally. If this game gets fixed, I may come back.

realistische Simulation, bleibt interessant

Слышал что её поддержка всё, что ничего больше не выйдет. Не круто конечно, но мне лично и того что есть хватает. Спецучастков тут просто куча, машин достаточно, играется бодро. Физика норм, мне нравится, эксперта из себя строить не буду. Просто рулить достаточно прикольно как по мне) Спецучастки куда интереснее чем в дирт 1-2, но графоний тут какой-то странный и местами корявый в сравнению с тем же дирт. Который вышел кучу лет назад как бы, но виды там в разы красочней, это прям странно. Но в целом и эта графика ну ок. В общем игра как минимум неплохая, а ралли симов слишком мало. Если всё приелось можно покатать вполне.

I'd give EA Sports WRC a cautious recommendation. When it's on sale for $15-20 for the game + DLC, I'd say it's worth it to someone looking for a simcade rally game that offers a faithful recreation of the 2023/2024 WRC seasons and rulesets in exchange for not having the hardcore sim sandbox of a DiRT Rally 2.0. The positives: the driving is generally a lot of fun and I think feels fine on all 3 surface types. There's a large variety of cars and classes on offer, both modern and historic, and most of them feel quite fun. With the DLC there's really quite a diverse range of real and a few fictional rallies, so with the combination of car classes + stages + conditions, there's a lot of content on offer here. Some did not like the Career structure, but I liked the idea of having a Benefactor that funds your team that you have to perform well for, instead of the player controlling the money. The choice of events on a week-to-week basis was also interesting, giving trade-offs as to what the player prioritizes, but peters out towards the end of the season I felt. Really needed a larger incentive for doing side events. I also liked the Moments side mode, little challenges to simulate some real life rally scenarios. It's minor, but I also liked the ambient menu music in the game. The cons here are largely technical. First, this game doesn't look good enough when compared to DiRT Rally 2.0 or Assetto Corsa Rally. Lots of flat lighting, low quality shadows, and low quality environment models on offer here. This in conjunction with the performance slowdown the game has as you get farther into a stage make the game feel like a half-rate title and not something deserving of a AAA moniker. Javelin Anti-Cheat is ridiculous. Flagging a controller utility like DS4Windows is plain stupidity. Also, the UI is somewhat confusing, lots of stuff buried in sub-menus and really makes me wonder how Codemasters was completely allergic to good UI design in any of its racing games. Overall, it's alright. It's a shame the Codemasters/EA & WRC partnership didn't work out because there's a fun game in here, and now we're stuck with the insolvent KT Racing/Nacon having the WRC game rights again. Not having any way to play the 2025 or 2026 WRC campaigns as of 2026 is just sad to me, and given current WRC popularity and coming regulation changes, EA Sports WRC is as good as it's going to get for an official WRC title for a while. Which is fine, but coming away from this game it should've been so much better for the $1B price EA bought Codemasters for.
