It sucks that this is the state of rally racing games. In terms of rally titles; EA WRC has some of the best gameplay when it comes to racing, but powering through the rest of this absolute ♥♥♥♥ storm to get to the racing is unacceptable. Control mapping is hilariously bad. There are some actions you just *cant* do with a mapped steering wheel - you will be forced to bring a controller or a keyboard with you. There are listed Simwheels with specific models and the mapping is WRONG. Why list a wheel if its not mapped right? And the whole 'manage a season' is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb. I just want to race. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about some benefactor, or a budget, its just quite possibly one of the worst progressions i've ever seen in a racing game. Its just awful. Assetto Corsa Rally has been promising so far. But very limited content. In regards to WRC - the fact that you have to even try to decide between a brand new game and almost 10 year old rally games tells you everything you need to know. If you really need that rally itch scratched, it will work. But you will feel dirty after.
Built a decent gaming rig in 2026 and it's still not good enough to play this in VR. Guess I'll try again in a decade.
Enjoyed the game a while ago, but it just won't launch anymore due to some stupid anti-cheat thing that EA forces upon you. Nothing I do seems to make it work. Paid full price for a game that won't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launch anymore....god I swear this will be the last EA game I've ever bought until I die
EA managed to ruin both the studio and the WRC series after buying it from Nacon. Oh and they made this game unplayable on linux.
Tried the game for a while and it was good - while it worked. All of a sudden I was unable to play the game due to the AntiCheat nonsense which has been mentioned countless times before. I have since been scratching my rally itch via Dirt Rally 2.0, purely because it works (even though it is an older game) and am eagerly waiting for a proper full release of assetto corsa rally in the mean time.
Dont buy. Cant even get into the game because the Javelin anticheat refuses to cooperate. Im just gonna wait for Asseto Corsa Rally or maybe buy Dirt Rally 2.0.
但凡不是ea的都不至于混成这样,中文是不给的,平台是进不去的,下载是扣慢的,游戏是要联网进的,汉化是打不上的,你国区能有现在这销量你真该给那些国内无偿做汉化的磕一个
Security measures are insane, so you'll be lucky to be able to open the game without troubleshooting. Can't recommend. If you decide to push through that, it's basically Dirt Rally 2.0 with a lot more content and some questionable changes. Only real improvement is the difficulty sliders. This makes the game a lot more accessible to non-masochists.
Well, lets be honest, it is a good rally game, i LOVE the variety of cars and tracks, HOWEVER, i dont get who the hell had the idea to include not only the trashy anticheat but also denuvo IN A SINGLEPLAYER GAME!!! Thanks to that, the game is NOT PLAYABLE in steamdeck, which is a damn shame. Besides, most if not all of the snow rally school trials are bugged, with resets out of place that make you instantly lose the trial. Optimization could be a bit better, but its not bad, most probably thanks to Denuvo. It is a good game and i will keep playing it, got it for 34€ and so far i dont regret it, but i will not give it a like unless the above changes, sadly...
TL;DR: check Assetto Corsa Rally or Dirt Rally 2.0 and don't waste your time with this hot garbage. An insult to players. I'm playing with a wheel, and here is what i get: - The game is more accessible, which is good. But there is no way to make it harder for those who want, and this is bad. I've all assists disabled and yet the game pushes the car in corners i would otherwise fail. - Driving doesn’t feel rewarding, as anything you try to do like sending the car sideways to pass a hairpin is just cancelled by the game and it takes over to force the car to pass the corner. Extremely disappointing. Everything is smoothed out and there is **no way** you can disable that. - That being said, you can still ♥♥♥♥ up and get your car upside down... but it's happening rarely because the game just continuously helps you to not have these issues, and i can really feel that the game is taking over for just a split second to prevent a most dire consequence to my poor driving. THEY TOOK ALL THE FUN OUT!!! - The graphics are an eye sore: it flickers, it's pixelated and the upscaling seems to work only 50% of the time. - Performances are abysmal for the level of graphics offered. Also wtf is the anti cheat for a video game i won’t be playing online? Do we really need that for a stupid leaderboard? The only good aspects: - Wide range of cars and tracks. - Long tracks! - The assists allow for a more relaxed experience, still challenging, for those who don't want the roughness of Dirt Rally 2.0. I am *not* against accessible games, but if the game allows to disable assists and i disable all of them, then i don’t want to be assisted, it’s as simple as that. - Rally School for the basics. I got it on discount, if i had to pay the full price for this LMFAO it would have been an instant refund. Customers are right to downvote this game: it's not that it's a bad one... it's just that it's poorly executed, filed with lies, and horrendously expensive without a SUBSTENTIAL discount.
