This is my 1st Madden purchase; I don't have the game history of other mostly negative posters. I'm really happy with the game so far, playing Franchise and Coach-only mode. Sure there are lots of small things I'd like to see changed; position labeled play diagrams would be the biggest. But overall, for anyone who wants a football simulation that lets you be the HC/OC/DC all rolled into one it is a lot of fun.

Game constantly crashes on PC
Making a game that is meh at best is one thing, but having forced arbitration is a slap in the face to the unfortunate souls who paid for this game. So many people have paid for this game and will end up not being able to play the multiplayer in a few years since if they were they wouldn't even pay for the new game. What a shame what ea has turned into. I still enjoy playing madden 01 on the ps1 because it was just fun to play and goof off in. Its just not worth it, even to screw around in single player, which is hidden a bit more than previous games, and the amount of pop ups is insulting.
This will be the last Madden game I ever purchase. I will only buy another NFL game if it is not made by EA. The passing is terrible, the kicking is terrible, record sacks every game, record interception every game. I have never seen so many passes bounce off lineman headds in one game in my life. Throwing a deep ball will pretty much be an interception even if WR in wide open.
Jets aren't even that good in the game. Recommend adjusting to fit reality.
Nothing new with this year besides more frustrating mechanics. One day they will lose exclusive licensing, right? This game is actually infuriatingly bad. Crashes, players feel like they are in quicksand, wear and tear breaks the game, etc. Can't even refund this trash cause I accidentally left it open while playing another game. Don't waste your money or your time.
