Promising start for early access, there is already a lot in the game from systems to factions to ship types. Hope there will be a campaign at 1.0
Really fun game! Very enjoyable space RTS and being able to jump into a ship and fly manually is A+++! There are still a few bugs and quirks to the UI but every release has been better than the last. Well done!
Game has a lot of potential. Right now its pretty shallow and lacking. Definitely needs the ability to build more space stations. because that feels like it limits a lot. for the most part its just build ships and spam enemy stations until you win. just not a lot of depth to it yet. Hopefully the Dev keeps going and fleshes the game out more. System is pretty small and could handle bigger systems or galaxies.
Good start but needs better management of units and ability to navigate around better. Both these things can be frustrating at times. The ship combat needs work as it is now it's not that exciting and the AI has the bad habit of stopping its fire and wasting resources.
No Map. u dont know where ends the system is there any Secrets or something. so info about if done the exploration dont exist. No Option where are my scouts. flotile command show me every single Combat ship but no buttom to show me where are my scouts.... And i dont know is it only me but in every single game i start again and again and i cant dmg the enemy ( Red colored enemys on the map) Stations. or the green enemy wat is like i tgink neutral ENemys wat ever. all my shoot go through the stations and do no dmg. there is no hitbox... i try many games other races.. game dont work atm
Just getting started with this title and so far happy with the type and amount of game mechanics, the dev has done the homework in that area for reals. I have played many space games from an Indie fav SOIL, to Dust Fleet, Space Reign, and they dont have quite the amount of things to do while waiting for the big bad. If u get into space games and play the demo you will notice many intuitive choices like auto assign cargo ships, clean base building it just makes sense nice music and radio chatter as well. Now its ea so one has to wonder etc we all know that but for sale price 15.29 you get value, if u play dw2 certain you will jump on this and not cry at all about the quirks the game has. It has a Armada /Homeworld feel , simpler but better execution of dw2, not full 3d space unless I have not found that key combo yet. there is no tutorial but help pops up with help on keyboard commands and there is a good info page in the options. This game has pacing to maybe its the little metronome feature top left of your screen, it works. You have crew improvement also, yeah u have crew and crew quarters and perks for that, and you can fly your ships though not like space reign or executive assualt 2, but its there u can fly your cargo ships when its quiet i guess. There is a tech tree, there are capital ships and fghters and non combat vessels and u got factions and special culture bonus abilities, there is no tutorial though u fall into it without too much confusion, be careful of any buttons top right corner, spec abilities live there and I hit once it filled up and my whole operation suddenly boogied out like a mass exodus, fail safe mechanism, lol I laughed as my whole operation cept the facilites suddenly hit boost and made for plan z execution lol so for that alone I recommend the game. there are 6 factions I think, pretty clear eyed space game rts with a tad of fps - huge maps, lots of options when u hit the option button on the menu, the devs did their home work this is a perfect ea title, hopefully it gets the completion I know its a risk we all face but the amount of stuff here and its playable fine in its prepaackaged unglitzy form it works, looks good, plays well, lots of good game mechanics, cool looking ships, decent tech tree, ship lab sort of like mechwarrior with components adds not as deep but it is well done too. Did I mention you can find wrecks and ruins and you know where they are - very far away but the systems are well populated so expansion is on your list. I will play this its has a Sins/Homeworld/Armada/Soil vibe looks familiar plays familiar but has so much more on the edges and its intuitive I just launched and started playing, the game does help u along with alerts of what u need to do first which was great and innocuous, they pop up dont linger and every key command u know will probably activate something familiar to u in the game so it leverages on that experience gamers have, I can imagine this getting some real love from fans now its like a real complete game here lol without the fanfare. the radio chatter alone makes it a recommend it does help
