Klasse schon im EA...mal sehen was da noch kommt
this game is fun !
I'll recommend Dynasty Protocol. [olist] [*] I find the graphics a bit grainy, but regardless it's pretty good. [*] The sound is good. I especially like the background chatter. [*] The startup sequence of the different station sections I find unique and I like it. You don't just get a fully functional station. Activation goes through a process. You need to activate one section before the next one. It doesn't take long and adds some sense of "realism". [*] The U.I. takes some time getting used to. And some of the text is very small meaning it's a bit hard to read. The overall look of the U.I. is well designed in my opinion. [*] Ship building and upgrades work well. Your ships are predefined and you order them as needed. [*] The research tree is extensive. [*] The game- and ship detail looks good. [*] The character images looks good. [*] The price very fair. [*] At this stage the only thing that I DO NOT LIKE is the save system. Every time you save your game you have to type in a name. I do not understand the logic of this approach. [/olist] That's it in a nutshell. I don't have too much playtime but my first impression of Dynasty Protocol is positive.
TLDR - A lot of depth and rewarding gameplay to be had for an asking price of $18. Combat & Gameplay comparable to SW: Empire at War and Sins of a Solar Empire. We need more games and passionate devs like this! This game is really in-depth and there's a surprising amount of detail and thought put into this game. It's games like Dynasty Protocol that makes me wish we had more developers in this field of games as it's one of my absolute favorites. If a single developer can do this on their own imagine a larger indie, AA, or AAA doing this with more resources? That said, this game has features I wish we had in a proper Star Wars Empire at War sequel. Definitely going to keep my eye on this game as the dev is very active and always engaging with the community to adjust and improve the game. I know I have a lot more to learn with the game and I'm sure I've missed other positives and negative. I'm going to have to dig in and learn more with the game. I may get some of my points below wrong or out of context as I've only played for about an hour, but I wanted to give a positive review/recommendation out early. There's a lot more to learn, so I offer below as constructive feedback: +"Assuming direct control" Harbinger style with your warships (admiral mode) +Cool ambiance with radio chatter, ships, environment art, etc +Ship customization such as weapons +Fleet tactics and customization +Combat is in-depth and satisfying +Superweapons such as quick deploy via quantum or warp for combat ships +Scratches that space/sci-fi RTS itch for fans of Star Wars Empire at War, Sins of a Solar Empire, Homeworld +/-Not too keen on the oxygen as a life or death finite resource on your ships. I understand there's the quantum emergency skill to send fuel and oxygen to ships low on them. But it just feels so.... forced and arbitrary. As a big Stellaris fan, I understand the need for ship upkeep or cost incentives for deployed ships, but the way it is now just feels cumbersome and not-fun. Perhaps a logistic setup for sending supply ships to deployed ships? Something that creates its own risk/reward gameplay setup that you have to consider, improve, and manage rather than the survivor open world craft trope of hunger bar goes down, press 5 to eat hot dog, sort of deal. +/-Different factions have the same style of space stations -Game could benefit from some music/OST -Fighters play more like corvettes -I may have missed it in my first playthrough, but I can't move my camera around when in admiral mode unless I use WASD movement to change view -Research menu could benefit from some visual clarity on what is researched, not researched, locked/unlocked, prerequisite not met, etc. Took me a minute to realize I had to read left from right to see the tiers lol
clunky with no overview. needs more QOL asap! received my money back! I didnt even know where my ships are!

Its a good start... and thats it...its EA and game now is barebones... i was not able to destroy enemy main base because it keeps respawning !!! maybe I am missing something here but anyway... like I said its a good start for EA. Lets see how this game will develop in future right now player cannot do much if someone is thinking its another sins of solar empire game he will be dissapointed.... right now there is lets say 5 hours of fun and thats it after 5 hours its simply boring as you cannot progress.... but still thumbs up for now.
нечто похожее на Haegemonia: Legions of Iron.
