Duskfade

I am primarily playing this game on a OLED Steamdeck. So far this game is everything I wanted when they described it like a ps2 era action platformer like Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts, Beyond good and evil and the like. I cannot wait to continue my journey through this beautiful world!

Plataformeo divertido y ágil, estilo artístico y personajes carismáticos y música que te llenará el corazoncito. Ideal si tienes ganas de un juego de aventuras/plataformas reminiscente a la época de PS2. Su combate es sencillote pero con posibilidades gracias a las habilidades del personaje y el diseño de enemigos, lástima el desaprovechamiento en los jefes (no son malos, pero no sacan tanto provecho del personaje); de igual forma, ciertas concesiones en cuanto a recuperar salud y pociones pueden opacar la necesidad de cuidado del jugador. Obviamente, se inspira en KH, tanto a nivel de estética y trama como de esa aventura superficialmente feliz pero con un trasfondo y mensajes más oscuros que pueden llegar a tocarte de manera personal. Por suerte, no se queda en eso y logra resaltar por sí mismo.

(Early impressions) I don't care much for the story or the main character, but the world is gorgeous, the collect-a-thon gameplay is enjoyable, and levels are fun to explore. Combat is casual, pretty basic and easy (so far, but I can see it gaining some complexity down the line).

I'm having a ton of fun, this is genuinely a good love letter to the 3d platformers of yonder. I like the worlds and the designs are neat. Combat is fine to me, it's nothing special but it's fun and that's all you need imho. Am I 100% positive? No, there are three things that can be improved upon I feel: 1. The voice acting feels like those fake dubs you see on Twitter. You know the ones, the fake one with Breaking Bad for example. It's a bit annoying and I did find myself turning my volume off at times. 2. Platforming can be a bit finicky. Especially after you get the grappling hook and you're angling the camera for the game to wake up and lock onto the target. On the other hand, I do absolutely love the freedom of being able to move after a jump. 3. And this is my biggest complaint; for a game that is supposed to be steam deck verified... it should not have these insane amounts of framerate drops. At times it drops to 20fps which is farr, far too low. Funninly enough I played the demo on the Switch 2 and it didn't have that issue.

One of the most fun, polished, and beautiful platformers I've ever played. All the individual parts came together to make something amazing.
