Very adorable and very addicting! Dungeons & Ducklings takes the classic Pac-Man style gameplay and breaks all the rules making it familiar and refreshing! Collect your ducklings and complete "challenges" to unlock new classes, abilities and passives! Find the best load out and become stronger in order to defeat the litch king! Definitely recommend it for those of you who enjoy roguelites!
This is a quacktastic experience! As a silly goose, ducks are like my second cousins. I've really enjoyed saving my ducklings and slaying the baddies in the dungeon. From the class system to the fashion, its a fun loop of roguelite action that has a lot of replay ability. Skal to Bear Belly!
I would very much like to know more about buggy and his buggyball.
Didn't play much of it yet but so far it's a nice little game, really enjoy the mix of game type it has! Can't wait to see more of it. Will play again for sure, highly recommend.
Fun? Hell yes! Love the theme and story line. A great game with a retro game vibe. The play becomes increasingly challenging as new bosses come on the scene. You'll love the weapon and gear options. Highly recommend this.
Start with a lot of Pac-Man, add in a bit of Gauntlet, and just a hint of Vampire Survivors, and you have Dungeons and Ducklings. You play as a momma duck who just wants her family to have a nice place to live, but is thrown into a supernatural conflict that threatens her young family. With a little help from an entreprenurial cat and a panda historian, however, you'll learn the secrets of new classes, grow in strength, and perhaps even about the events that led to the terrible lich's rise to power. And you'll save your ducklings along the way - their interests are numerous and their hats are adorable. I'm 3 hours in and wish I didn't have to work tomorrow so I could play just one more run (and then inevitably another). Easily worth the 10 dollar price of admission in my opinion, especially if you like the aforementioned games. Only thing I recommend off the bat is lowering the game volume to around 2 so you can hear the dialogue more clearly at first. The voice-acting is worth it up front, and you can skip past the dialogue that repeats when you reach boss fights easily once you've heard it the 5th or 6th time.
A great rogue-lite mashup of Pac-Man and other top-down shooter type games (like Vampire Survivors, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, or Bioprototype). Extremely cute visuals, good controls, and full voice acting (my favorite line is "Quack!"). I haven't beaten it yet, but it seems like it's also not going to overstay its welcome, either. I think there are 4 bosses, and I've gotten to the 3rd boss after 2 hours worth of runs. The biggest challenge appears to be beating the game with every weapon, but I expect a run to be around 15 minutes, and there are only 8 weapons.
Classic arcade difficulty that keeps you trying and a level up and equipment mechanic that keeps it entertaining. Plus ducks
Very fun game, and my kids can watch me play. I'll get the switch version for them once it's out.
A really fun game to pass the time. Not overly complicated, but charming and enjoyable. Great concept, great mechanics and I would highly recommend it for anyone 10+. Well worth the money.
