About
Dungeon Tells is a compact, replayable game about reading unreliable thoughts and deciding when you know enough to act.
It combines hidden-identity deduction with the escalating reveals and calculated risks of a game show. Not every starting board is designed to give you one completely certain answer before you act.
Sometimes the clues narrow the possibilities rather than solve the puzzle outright, forcing you to compare probabilities and make a calculated gamble.
Every execution reveals more information, giving you greater certainty about what to do next.
Use Demi’s trusty axe, Beatrice, to execute the heroes you believe you can afford to lose.
Every executed hero reveals their true Personality and LVL. Use that new information to verify earlier statements, reconsider your deductions, and improve your odds as the escape continues.
A risky first decision can lead to a much clearer second one.
When only three heroes remain, Demi can Charm one of them and turn them against their former allies.
Choose carefully. Your champion must defeat the remaining heroes using their available LVL. Deduce correctly and they will save your dungeon for you. Choose poorly and the survivors will come for Demi next.
After saving your dungeon, choose an Evolution such as Looter, Selfless, or Nurturing.
During the next escape, your Evolutions are randomly assigned to participating heroes. They may strengthen a useful champion, weaken a dangerous enemy, or completely change how you evaluate the board.
Dungeon Tells features forty-eight hero classes with different thought patterns. Each escape combines a fresh selection of heroes, LVLs, Personalities, and possible Evolutions.
Randomness is part of the challenge. You are not only solving what can be proven, you are deciding what is likely, what remains unknown, and when the risk is worth taking.
Dungeon Tells is a small game by design. Its main run is intentionally short and designed to be completed, not stretched into a giant campaign.
Replayability comes from randomized escapes, different hero interactions, and additional game modes that change how you approach the deduction.

I'm not sure if this is a game I can recommend. It feels like it was rushed out so it could be released before demon bluff and it sucks cause I think this game could stand on its own legs if it had more time spent on it. If you're simply trying to win runs, the game is easy and will probably disappoint. While it has logic, its more about trying to figure out the levels of heroes to maximize points rather than just pointing out liars. The evolution system will give more or less points if the hero is left alive, which will also impact your highscore. Ultimately the game is just about chasing high scores. The logic somewhat takes a backseat because there are many cases you have to guess which one might be the higher score. So the main point of the game even sometimes feels luck based. And thats where I'm kinda disappointed. I would of loved if the evolution mechanic actually impacted the logic part of it somehow, but it doesn't. It just makes you have to spend more time trying to maximize scores. If trying to maximize scores with a little luck sounds interesting to you, it might be you're cup of tea in that regard. The game modes is where the rushed feeling comes in. The first you unlock is the opposite mode, where you are trying to find the single truth teller and leave them alive. This mode is incredibly easy and highscoring it is luck based completely because you just have to hope the truth teller always has the maximum number. The other game modes I didnt really check out cause they just seem to be slight changes of the base game. It feels like there is ideas but it overall feels incomplete and tagged in to try to justify the games existence more than be an actual extension. There is nothing to chase after other than highscores either. Only unlocks are heroes, and who knows if unlocking those makes it easier or harder to get highscores. No idea. I do think the game looks nice, and the UI works, but I think the game just lacks meat. Between the gamemodes being too samey and the evolution mechanic not really doing much to the logic and really just adjusting points, I dont think this game is for me. Overall, the feeling I get is it seems to be a game where you try to maximize points that just happens to have a logic game asthetic.

Very simple and short game that relies more on doing math to chase high scores than actual logic Puzzles. Sadly a refund for me.
A great solo social deduction game! I can only play a few runs before my brain is fried from overthinking. I'm not too fond of the "my lvl is the avg of my neighbors" or the "a+b's sum is greater than c+d's sum". I do applaud the dev(s) for adding their own spin though. I really hope they make an offline mobile version! I would buy it again for this price, and play it a whole lot more!
A very fun deduction / logic puzzle game. Developer is communicative and has already released multiple patches adding many requested QOL features, such as a drawing tool, more readable font and the ability to save runs. Biggest of all the additions is the ability to view all of the hero abilities in the game during a run, and be able to see how they flip if that hero is dishonest. To be clear, this is much more of a logic puzzle game where you aim for a high score than a Werewolf style pure deduction game where you are primarily trying to find out who is good or evil. The puzzles can get quite complex the deeper into the game you get as you unlock more heroes and try out the many different modes of play - contrary to what some of the reviews say. It's evident by the low play time of those reviews that they never truly got into the meat of the game by unlocking more heroes and playing the alternate game modes. It can get quite challenging to work around the heroes' statements, abilities, alignment, levels and evolutions to find the best solution to a given puzzle. Especially when you have more liars in the mix, or narrower gaps between the heroes' levels. Overall I highly recommend giving it a try if you enjoy puzzle solving.
I think it's a very relaxing game, even by puzzle game standards. There's a few different game modes that feel different with a large variety in complexity and pace. Pretty good as a daily or end of day game.
What a fun little game. Its not a 'social deduction game' Its a logic game. If you like those, this is really very good. The take on the logic puzzles are unique and it took me a few runs before I started to figure it out. If you lose, no, its not a badly made game. Everything works right, you're just not fully understanding how it works. I went from a failure to not only beating all the difficulties, but also getting top in the leaderboards without using any outside guides or help. Took me around 7 hours for me to do all that and put it down for another game. But I really enjoyed my time and highly recommend the game to anyone who likes logic puzzles.
nice games played the demo for 10 hours its worth to buy it and play as much as you can especially puzzles
Fun game, cool concept. Every stage/run feels very winnable. I had a good time with it. IDK if this is something I'd play on the regular, but feels like something nice to come back to every so often.
Very unique social deduction game in which identifying the heroes' levels is more important than figuring out who is lying. It is cool that you play as the dungeon boss. Nice effects and animations. Support indie devs.
Logic meets Social Deduction meets Leaderboards
That's the short answer to "what's this game about?" If you were looking for Demon Bluff pre-release, your princess is in another castle, but this has the same charm and mixes it with a Deal or No-Deal type of mechanic where you don't have ALL the infos and need to make informed guesses to find out the last bits. Great game for a solo dev <3
