Had fun with it for awhile. It's an interesting take on dungeon crawler and tower defense. Got it on sale for $3 so the time spent was well worth it. Procedural generation keeps the replay value high despite the simple mechanics. Game on!

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love playing this title when I'm sick. The games take a good long time and it always helps the illness seem to pass more quickly. It has grimly beautiful visuals paired with a nice soundtrack.
Жаль онлайна нет, очень круто заходит по сети =)

Dungeon of the ENDLESS™, developed by Amplitude Studios, is a bold and genre-blending roguelike tower defense RPG hybrid that manages to be both relentlessly punishing and strangely addictive. Released in 2014, the game challenges players to guide a team of survivors—space travelers who crash-land their escape pod into a mysterious, hostile alien facility—through procedurally generated dungeon floors filled with monsters, traps, and scarce resources. With its pixel-art aesthetic, moody sci-fi soundtrack, and minimalist storytelling, the game carves out a distinct identity in a crowded genre space, offering a unique experience that rewards planning, experimentation, and a high tolerance for failure. The core loop of Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ is deceptively simple: explore rooms, gather resources, build defenses, and escort your energy crystal to the exit of each floor. Yet beneath that surface lies a deeply tactical and often unforgiving gameplay experience. Every time you open a door to a new room, the game progresses by one turn, spawning enemies, triggering events, and updating resource generation. There are three primary resources to manage: Industry (used for building modules and defenses), Science (used for research and upgrades), and Food (used to heal and level up heroes). Balancing these resources is the foundation of success, and mismanaging even one can doom a run in just a few doors. The tension created by this simple mechanic—"what’s behind the next door?"—is brilliantly sustained throughout each playthrough. The game’s heroes each bring unique skills and attributes to the table, and choosing the right combination of characters can significantly impact your strategy. Some are better at combat, others excel at supporting or boosting module efficiency. Their progression is tied to the Food resource, so deciding whether to invest in leveling up or healing becomes a crucial part of the risk-reward calculus. Heroes can also find and equip gear, adding an RPG layer of customization that feels satisfying without being overwhelming. Permadeath is a constant threat, however, and losing a key team member can quickly unravel a promising run. The limited control over combat—heroes fight automatically—means positioning and preparation matter far more than reflexes, and this strategic focus reinforces the game's identity as more of a thinking person’s roguelike. What truly sets Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ apart is the interplay between exploration and tower defense. As you open doors and discover new rooms, you can choose where to place resource-generating modules and defensive turrets, creating kill zones or support networks based on the layout. The trick is that you never have enough power to keep all rooms lit, and unpowered rooms become spawn points for enemies. Deciding which rooms to power and where to invest your limited Industry becomes a nerve-wracking strategic decision. The final moments of each floor—when you pick up the crystal and all hell breaks loose as waves of enemies pour in—are consistently tense and exhilarating. Getting your team safely to the exit, crystal in tow, never stops feeling like a victory earned through grit and planning. Visually, the game embraces a retro-inspired pixel-art style that is both charming and effective. Despite the simplistic graphics, environments feel atmospheric, and character animations are surprisingly expressive. Each floor has a unique biome, with visual changes that hint at the evolving dangers and alien architecture of the world you're trapped in. The sound design is equally strong, with ambient sci-fi hums and a haunting synth soundtrack that perfectly complements the lonely, desperate tone of the game. There’s a sense of mystery that permeates every layer, as the game reveals very little about its lore up front, instead trusting players to piece together fragments of story through item descriptions, hero interactions, and environmental clues. The narrative, while minimalistic, is intriguingly woven into the gameplay. The survivors come from various backgrounds—soldiers, criminals, scientists—and each has a backstory that ties into the larger ENDLESS universe, shared with other Amplitude titles like Endless Legend and Endless Space. While the plot is not the main focus, there’s enough personality in the characters and setting to create a sense of cohesion and curiosity. Long-time fans of the studio will appreciate the subtle connections, while newcomers can enjoy the game on its own terms without needing prior knowledge of the franchise. However, Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ is not without its frustrations. The difficulty curve is steep, and newcomers may feel overwhelmed by the lack of hand-holding or traditional tutorial. Runs can end abruptly due to bad luck, poor planning, or a single misjudged room, which may not appeal to players looking for a more forgiving experience. Additionally, the interface—while functional—can be clunky at times, especially when managing multiple heroes or trying to issue commands under pressure. The lack of mid-run saves also means sessions demand a certain time commitment, which can be a barrier for more casual players. Despite these challenges, the game’s addictive loop, strategic depth, and replayability make it a standout in the roguelike genre. Each run feels different, thanks to procedurally generated floors, randomized loot, and a large cast of heroes to unlock and experiment with. There's a sense of progression not just in the meta-unlocks, but in the player's growing understanding of how systems interact—when to fight, when to flee, and how to build a base that can withstand a relentless alien onslaught. In the end, Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ is a rare blend of genres that works far better than it has any right to. Its mix of tower defense, resource management, and roguelike dungeon crawling creates a tense, brainy experience that rewards experimentation and resilience. For those willing to dig into its challenging mechanics and embrace its harsh learning curve, the game offers hours of rewarding gameplay and one of the more unique strategic experiences available on Steam. It’s not easy, and it’s not always fair, but when you make it out of a floor by the skin of your teeth, the sense of triumph is undeniable. Rating: 8/10
