Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I want to like this, I really do... but there are just too many issues, even early game, for it to be something I want to play or something I could recommend. It is trying to be something of an RTS/Civ hybrid set loosely in the Dune universe, but it ends up just being a rather confusing slog that has the attitude of "Just throw the player in the deep end and let them lose until they figure it out." For some, that may be fun but for me it is frustrating. Due to the real-time nature and the fact that a lot of the complexity is unlocked from the beginning of the game, it doesn't have the gradual "learn as you go" feel of Civ itself. This is compounded by technical/interface issues. It runs fine, but one issue you'll find is that if you have a high DPI screen, as the laptop I played it on does, you can't get the interface to scale very large, which makes it harder to read everything. It isn't unusable, but I noticed myself straining far too often, which makes it harder to play for long sessions which is what the game is designed for. It isn't a *BAD* game, but all in all I'd spend your money and time elsewhere.

16 hs and all i got was the tutorials and two separate skirmishes that someone called part of a campaign but are just chained missions with little modifiers between them I love dune and i wanted to love this game, but it gets automatic real fast. What makes a strategy game fun or boring is the possibilities at the three stages: early game, mid game and late game. Here the early is game is the same (depending on the house, but still) and the late game two, you just choose wich objetive to finish it with. The combat is fun, the game is beautiful, and its heart is on the right place, but it's not enough and i had faith that they would keep developing it, i bought it in beta on discount before they added eckaz, but they stopped at vernius, and the game needed adjustments and a story. Buy it but not full price, the dlc is definitely only for those who loved it, it's expensive.
Just so many player-unfriendly mechanics that make no sense.
This is one of my favorite games, if you expect the same old Westwood's RTS style, forget it (many people feels frustrated expecting a Dune 2000 remake or so). This Dune is totally different: economics/political decisions affect the match, time is crucial, and the combat is different (you control squadrons/platoons trying to control scenario areas). Sometimes the enemies AI it's very passive and reactive but isn't a great problem for me. Graphics are cool, sound work is awesome, and this game contains the all Dune essence if you're a fan of the Frank Herbert's saga.
Entirely too difficult even on Easy. Sometimes you're tasked with quickly eliminating an enemy, Except bases take practically months in game to even get half way and by that time you have spent all your resources trying to take out a single enemy. Win conditions are really poorly mapped out and are sometimes essentially impossible with the units the game provides. There are no good siege units. Base killing takes FOREVER in any mode. It's ridiculous. It's like they never want you to win by domination, yet sometimes task you with exactly that.
Pretty good. All the factions are pretty unique while also being familiar enough. It's a hard to reach but successful balance between familiar and unique. Mostly spent time in Conquest mode cus that's my thing. Will say, after completing Conquest with every faction once, it is getting repetitive. The Duel mode is good for a quick skirmish, working on a playstyle, etc. In a 4 player game, it does take quite a while to finish but not as long as a Civilization game though. Playing multiplayer with friends would be hella more fun for longer but for singleplayer, it definitely has a limited lifespan, granted, I'm only reaching that point after 100+ hours so good investment. Overall, good 4x game which is a bit more compact than Civilization but remaining pretty unique and fun. Limited lifespan but you'll get good value out of it before you get bored
At first test, I bounced off this game harder than a tennis ball off a giant sandworm. It spent years languishing in the 'Unutterably Tedious' section of my steam library. The whole game just felt like sitting around waiting for mana to tick up, because against the AI, that's all you need to do. Revisiting in 2026, there's actually a lot more depth to this than I first realised. Each faction has a different way of playing and expanding territory, and challenging the various win conditions. In multiplayer, it feels a lot like a boardgame or EDH, with the opportunities for roleplaying as the various factions only adding to the experience. The learning curve with all the different factions and mechanics is also quite fun with friends. Water/supply is a really cool mechanic. It's not without its flaws. There's a few reasons I bounced off it at first, and it all comes down to the military. Units don't feel good to control. There's an input lag between orders and execution, units slide unsatisfyingly around the map, and a sandworm attack can wipe your entire army in one swallow (there are ways to mitigate this but it's still RIDICULOUS, taking one or two units at a time would be enough of an aggro deterrent without losing an entire army). If you tell your army to attack a village, the faster ranged units will rush in first - well under max range - and form a line which your melee units have to awkwardly path around. They also glom together into a tight one-shottable blob for the convenience of any nearby sand monsters, and repeatedly zerg off into the distance to chase single enemy units into inhospitable desert or lethal main-base missile fire. I think the unit control is what gave the game a lacklustre launch: when you market as an RTS, players are expecting tight and satisfying unit control. But if you can get over that and you enjoy competitive-collaborative games with multiple routes to victory, Dune: SW is definitely worth a try.
The more I play this game, the more I like it. The art style is fun, the universe is immersive, and the gameplay is varied and each faction feels different. Just when I think I'm getting the hang of things, the game throws a curveball at me. There are also several different ways to win. I have to be on my toes, hoping that another faction doesn't stab me in the back. On the other hand, betraying your ally is so very satisfying. Why yes I do prefer Harkonnens, why do you ask? As far as performance goes, I can run it on medium high graphics and 40-50 fps. On another computer it can start lagging with more than 3 factions running around and fighting at the same time.
