A Fiery Descent into Absurdity - Unraveling DUMB Infernal Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) DUMB Infernal descends into the gaming scene with a deliberate embrace of absurdity and chaotic gameplay. As a title that revels in its own unique brand of humor and over-the-top action, it offers a rollercoaster ride that aims to amuse and entertain. While its commitment to unapologetic silliness is evident, the game struggles to strike a balance between its comedic aspirations and delivering a polished and enjoyable gaming experience. The visual style of DUMB Infernal reflects its chaotic and irreverent nature. The game features exaggerated character designs, cartoonish animations, and environments that are seemingly plucked from a fever dream. The visuals are intentionally overblown, which complements the game's comedic tone but might also leave players yearning for more refined aesthetics. Gameplay in DUMB Infernal is a mishmash of chaotic action, slapstick humor, and deliberately unpredictable mechanics. The game throws players into a series of bizarre scenarios, each more ludicrous than the last. While the intention to create a game that doesn't take itself seriously is admirable, the execution can sometimes veer into randomness, leading to moments of frustration and confusion. The humor in DUMB Infernal is a double-edged sword. Players looking for unfiltered, nonsensical comedy might find some chuckles in the game's zany situations and quirky dialogue. However, the humor's hit-or-miss nature might leave others feeling disconnected from the game's comedic intent, as it relies heavily on shock value and absurdity. Unfortunately, DUMB Infernal's commitment to its own chaos also leads to gameplay issues. The controls can feel imprecise and clunky, which can be especially problematic in situations that demand quick reflexes and accuracy. This lack of polished mechanics can hinder the overall gameplay experience, leading to moments of frustration. In summary, DUMB Infernal embraces a unique brand of chaotic humor and exaggerated gameplay that's sure to tickle the funny bone of players seeking unabashed silliness. However, the game's commitment to its comedic tone sometimes overshadows the need for polished gameplay mechanics and engaging interactions. While it might find a niche audience that enjoys its irreverent style, those seeking a more balanced and refined gaming experience might find themselves overwhelmed by the game's DUMB antics.

Well the Dumb part of the games title is accurate. This is one of those games that is popular for its easy achievements.
DUMB. + Easy completion
DUMB Infernal, developed and published by Beem Media, is a deliberately rough, arcade-style first-person shooter that embraces chaos, simplicity, and low-fi presentation as its defining identity. It originated as a comedic side project and carries that DNA throughout its design, presenting itself less as a polished standalone title and more as a fast, self-aware experiment in stripped-down gameplay. From the moment you start, it becomes clear that the game is not trying to impress through technical sophistication or depth, but rather through immediacy, humor, and a raw, almost rebellious sense of design. The core gameplay loop is as direct as it gets. Players are dropped into a confined arena and tasked with surviving waves of enemies for as long as possible. Armed with basic shooting mechanics, the objective is to eliminate threats, avoid damage, and extend your run while chasing a higher score. There is no narrative context, no structured progression, and no variation in modes. Everything revolves around this single loop, echoing the philosophy of classic arcade shooters where mastery comes from repetition and refinement rather than unlocking new content or advancing through levels. Despite its intentionally crude presentation, the moment-to-moment gameplay can feel surprisingly responsive. Movement is quick, aiming is straightforward, and the act of shooting enemies provides a basic level of satisfaction that carries the experience in its early stages. As enemy numbers increase, the game introduces a sense of pressure that forces players to stay alert and constantly reposition. The challenge comes not from complex mechanics, but from managing space, reacting quickly, and maintaining focus under escalating chaos. This simplicity works in short bursts, creating a fast-paced rhythm that is easy to jump into and just as easy to leave. Visually, DUMB Infernal leans heavily into its identity as a “dumb” game, with assets that appear intentionally crude and reminiscent of MS Paint creations. Characters, environments, and effects are all rendered in a style that feels deliberately unrefined, reinforcing the game’s comedic tone. This aesthetic is divisive by nature—some players will find it charming and consistent with the game’s personality, while others may see it as a lack of effort or polish. Either way, it is a defining feature that sets the game apart from more conventional shooters, even if it comes at the cost of immersion. Where the game begins to lose momentum is in its lack of variety. The enemies, environments, and overall structure remain largely unchanged throughout, and there are no additional systems introduced to deepen the experience. There are no upgrades, no weapon variations, and no evolving mechanics to keep gameplay feeling fresh. As a result, the loop can become repetitive fairly quickly, especially for players who are used to shooters that offer progression, customization, or strategic depth. Once the initial novelty fades, the experience relies entirely on the player’s willingness to chase higher scores. The tone of the game plays a significant role in how it is perceived. DUMB Infernal is fully aware of what it is, and it leans into that awareness with confidence. It does not attempt to disguise its limitations; instead, it frames them as part of the joke. This gives the game a certain charm, as it feels intentionally absurd rather than unintentionally flawed. For players who appreciate this kind of humor, the experience can be entertaining in a light, disposable way. For others, the lack of substance may overshadow the novelty. The overall scope of the game is extremely small, which makes it best suited for short play sessions. It works well as a quick distraction, something to jump into for a few minutes of chaotic action without any commitment. However, it does not offer the kind of depth or progression that would encourage long-term engagement. The absence of meaningful rewards or evolving gameplay systems means that most players will reach the limits of what the game has to offer relatively quickly. In the end, DUMB Infernal is a very focused and intentionally simplistic arcade shooter that delivers brief moments of chaotic fun while fully embracing its own absurdity. It stands out more for its personality and concept than for its gameplay depth, offering a short-lived but occasionally entertaining experience. While it lacks the polish and variety of more developed titles, it succeeds in doing exactly what it sets out to do: provide a fast, unpretentious, and humor-driven take on the survival shooter formula. Rating: 6/10
It is indeed dumb. In fact it's so dumb that exiting to windows crashes the game so hard that my computer crashed along with it.
Garbage.
This is the premiere game that Beem Media created for various "joke bits" on our Jack Everett YouTube channel. Indeed the game seen in the footage is a real playable game presented to you for FREE for you enjoyment. Enter the infernal hellscape as a lone warrior fending off an army of monsters. See how long you can survive, then try to survive even longer the next time you play. DUMB Infernal puts your shooting skills to the ultimate test. Beating your previous high score is pretty much the goal in this classic arcade style shooter. Graphics made in MS Paint. You always die, but you can always beat your previous score
Playing this game was a DUMB Infernal idea...
As an obvious parody of Doom Eternal, this version is only a lousy endless shooter where you can't move and only shoot crudely made targets. I know this is the point, but I didn't have fun...I only played for a minute to get all the achievements...the rest of the time was agony just to wait long enough to review this game. ...Fortunately, there's not much else to say other than that. Decent for children and parody fans, but not for serious gamers. Achievement hunters with autoclickers may be briefly entertained by this free game. Personally? I wouldn't want to revisit this one. 0.5 / 10 Basic, but crude.
