Family fun.
Short and sweet detective game, fun voice acting and art style. Preferred this one over the first I think.
If you liked the first game, just know that, for better or for worse, this is more of the same. I’d say there are slight improvements, like a more interesting area to explore and a much better hint system, but there are also slight downgrades, like a more confusing plot (there are multiple mysteries happening simultaneously, but none are obviously made to seem more important than the others, so you don’t really know what you’re really supposed to be investigating until deep in the game), and a lot of intrigue that ultimately doesn’t really go anywhere. You’ll have to play the first game to figure out why you have an annoying alligator velcroed to your side. I would much rather be able to work alone. Other than that, I have the exact same qualms with this that I had for the first game: 1. It’s too short. 2. There is no real satisfactory payoff for solving anything. The characters are a tiny bit better developed than in the first game, but there still isn’t enough time to get emotionally invested in any of them or the story itself. And this time around, I didn’t even feel like I was helping anyone by figuring anything out until about halfway through the game. I just felt like a big snoop for no apparent reason. And though new areas do open up when you solve certain puzzles this time, the new areas aren’t really enough of a payoff by themselves (also how is it okay for me to be stealing everyone’s codes and keys and breaking in everywhere if I have no obvious reason to do so and NO ONE HAS HIRED ME?). Yes, I understand I am playing as a Duck Detective and certain ideas of logic shouldn’t really apply here, but it was a bit much for me to suspend my disbelief. And just like the last game, the whole thing was over before it ever really felt like it got started. If you liked the first game and you’re okay with playing something this short and sweet, by all means, get this on sale. I’d just rather spend my bread somewhere else.
This was even better than the first one imo. I really liked Freddy in this one, he didn't stand out in the first game for me but they managed to make him really likable in this one without it feeling like they gave him a new personality or anything
Im Happy they made another one, and hopefully they continue! I love that they brought Freddy along in this. So many laughs inbetween the gasps. Pleasy continue making these!
Yet another cute and simple mystery title well suited to younger audiences. It's rather short, but is nevertheless an overall good game.
Extremely short! ridiculous
