Dual Eclipse is a short but deep card battling game that has a lot of interesting mechanics and great enemy and art design. Each of the 3 classes feel unique and I love the dungeon crawler feel and different locations. By the end of the game I felt perfectly overpowered that the final boss fight felt perfect and extremely satisfying. Highly recommend to try this game out! It has been a labor of love from CurlyGoblinGames and having the pleasure to see the game develop has been incredible to see. Excited to see what the dev does next!
Very unique game, feels like a mix between what I imagined a visualized text-based adventure game would look like (retro fantasy feel), with a brand new card game that builds up in an exciting way. The pacing of movement is nice to let you soak in and absorb both the atmosphere and the mechanics. Would recommend!
Just happened across the demo of this game the same day it was released! Bought it immediately, it's an incredibly chill but still challenging enough to grab your attention deck based game with some fun character class twists for replayability. Highly recommend, especially at the price point. The only heads up I would give is that it looks like a roguelike but isn't a roguelike, it's linear gameplay. Although there are some elements of choice as you choose skills when you level up allowing for different builds. As well as different card combos, and card crafting.
This game is great fun! Old school dungeon crawler feel, with a cool trick taking card based aspect. Took me about 3 hours to clear a run for the first time, looking forward to knocking out the other two classes on harder difficulties. For the price, this is a great game and I highly recommend. Fun way to spend some hours exploring and battling.
Dual Eclipse is a fantastic rendition mix of Trick games like Spades, and adds role-playing game elements. The day/night cycle contributes to strategy, forcing you to hold on to lower cards as well as higher ones. Personally I hold onto 3x2 5x1 7x2 for some decent hits. There are secret areas to boot, along with a level and class system. Even If you dont care for trick card games, give it a try if you enjoy rpgs. A must for all to give a chance. 8/10
Explorador de mazmorras a la antigua, sistema de combate interesante con toque roguelite y un arte que engancha. Por 4€ no esta mal aunque se me hizo algo corto.
Small yet solid game. Card system holds up well enough for the scope of the experience, the handcrafted maps and scenery punch well above their weight, and overall I'm satisfied with time and money spent for the experience. First playthrough took about three hours, though there are three classes to try.
Super fun. I loved the combat and exploration. There’s a simple introduction to the combat mechanics but as you crawl your way through the world, you see the layers and layers added on top. This is bolstered by exploration that is sprinkled with lore and genuine surprises around its corners. Highly recommend.
Totally different from anything I've played before but very fun!
Oldschool vibe with trick taking (if you've ever played games like that) - but with fantasy thrown in. Really fun
