About

Dread Admiral is a turn-based naval roguelite where you command a persistent fleet across a hostile archipelago. Every ship you build carries forward, and every ship you lose is lost forever. Every turn you spend on a mission is a turn less for the future - and a turn closer to a relentless enemy engulfing you.

Earn ranks, unlock Perks and technology, and earn upgrades for your Flagship even when you lose.

No two campaigns play the same. Navigate unpredictable mission modifiers against AI Admirals with distinct personalities and tactics, deciding when you fight and when you flee.
Every turn, the Black Fleet gets closer - will you gather more resources and ships, or will you abandon your mission to buy time?

Alternating Activations - You're always looking for the next best move, as is your opponent. Every ship has been delicately balanced to have a role to play.

Dread Admiral is perfect for players who enjoyed FTL, Urtuk: The Desolation, or Darkest Dungeon.
You will lose. You will make tough decisions. You will run out of time. You will fail mission objectives. You will eke out victory by the slimmest of margins against an AI that adapts its fleet and economy to yours.

Really good game, been enjoying it so far. Is quite challenging, but I prefer it that way. The UI can use some polish, but the game is receiving regular updates.
great so far I like the concept
Excellent naval strategy game that is very challenging. The unit variety is adequet. I love the hand crafted art in this game. It really adds to the charm. Not to mention hard rocking sound track. There is also an action cam that adds to the fun. I highly recommend this one for strategy nerds. If you have been thinking about the genre, this is a great title. This game gives me nostalgia from the Advance Wars days on GameBoy.

Neat little game that tingles the right part of the brain, especially for folks that like runbased/roguelite games. The gamesystems are solid, and the difficulty is not for the faint of heart. Stupid actions get punished, while smart ones simply allow you to progress (no head patting). Since it´s a run based game it comes with a lot of replayability. There are many functionalities of cities to discover, many perks to unlock (which can alter playstyle to your liking). The solo-dev is very engaged on Discord, listening to feedback and handing out tips to new players that struggle with a challenging but fun game. (4 patches on release day) If you like naval warfare strategy games you really should give the demo a try, more likely than not you will buy the game after 2 or 3 rounds.
Short review now: I've played a decent amount of hours on the demo and bought to support the dev. Its hard. It'll kick your ass, but thats the fun of it
Don't usually do reviews but I love battleships and I love strategy games so this game is the perfect aggregate of my interests. game is pretty straightforward, and the learning curve isn't very steep, however the first few attempts will seem very very difficult.
好玩,海战打爽了
my day be so fine until the enemy AI admiral loves submarine spam my cities have been blockaded by them and every admiral seems to have a vendetta against my destroyers 10/10
