Really fun and neat game! The controls are niche, I don't I've ever played a game where I've had to click and drag my character with my mouse. The characters are unique enough and don't feel boring or repetitive. The art is really cute and quaint, the music is honestly very good, and there's a variety of items and there's also a lot of variance between items in each runs with a lot of interesting synergies. Super excited to play more of this game and see what changes the updates bring.
this is the most game ever. 5/5, amazing game
DRAGOT is an exhilarating bullet hell dungeon crawler that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. With its intense pace and relentless enemies, you'll constantly rely on the enigmatic items found in each room to survive. The game's unique twist lies in the balance between early fizzling out and skillful snowballing, creating an addictive and challenging experience. Defeating the pursuing dragon in the final area is a thrilling payoff for your efforts, making DRAGOT a must-play for fans of fast-paced, high-stakes action
super fun game with a ton of replay value
Dragot has a different take on the controls yet feels nice when mixed in with items and builds you can make. Tons of variety with builds that will drastically change the way a class plays out a run. Genuinely fun to play and you can lose track of time.
This is a very unique and addicting game, when playing. I've never seen a game where you drag the player. The Art of it makes me dive into a real cool place and fight the enemies. Everytime you start a new run, you depend on a lot of Items you can collect, which gives you the factor of experiencing new intresting skills in every single run. (There's a ton of varieties) There is 4 + 1 characters and each of them have one special skill and a weapon. I really love this game! Did a real good Job there
Great game! Very difficult and very well worth it. If you enjoy games like Risk of Rain 2, this could definitely be for you!
Dragot is a fantastic game where you go from room to room, dragging your character around with your mouse, shooting/slashing at various enemies, and gaining game-changing items. If I still have not convinced you yet, lets break it down a little bit more. ☐Mouse-dragged Character Now this is a really unique feature that I have never seen before and really makes this game stand out. Dragging your character around is actually really fun and it makes you think about where you want your character while you are attacking. (Also my cat loves to watch my character run across the screen. ☐Enemy Design The enemies are all super unique and really fun to battle. They all have their own strategy for what they do and have their own spawns in each room so you already know what to expect when you enter a room. The further you go the more difficult the enemies get as they get more aggressive and get crazy abilities. ☐Boss Design The bosses add a good variety to your game and show up every 13th room. Some bosses are really easy while others are pretty difficult (Skeleton Necromancer always ends my runs :( ). The graveyard area in general is pretty hard, but once you get past it you should be set for the final boss. ☐THE ITEMS! The items are everything in this game. You'll see a lot of rougelikes out there that will just make the items do basic stat changes and nothing else. This game does the opposite. Every item is super unique and will change your strategy for the run. I love that the dev plays around with this and will add some crazy items that add really unique mechanics. I will always pickup an item I have never used before to try it out because they will always add so much variety to your run and the dev is still adding more! ☐Other things to note I personally love the music a lot, it fits the vibes well. I was also shocked to find out that there is actually lore for this game. Apparently there are some secrets to discover as well, some have not been figured out by anyone yet (Join the discord to help!) There is a secret 5th character which I have not unlocked yet but he looks really cool. Also, if you like speedrunning, this game has great speedrunning potential because of the mouse-moving mechanic. I also think the melee characters need a major buff, every single enemy does damage on collision so it is way more viable to stay away from them. ☐Conclusion This game is honestly fantastic. It has insane replay-ability which is really difficult for most rougelikes but this pulls it off well. Its indie, its cheap, give it a shot. I'm sure you'll love it
You really have to want to like this game, then it might be for you. The game is somewhat unique, but it just does not feel fun to play. It feels like a game jam game, that someone spent a lot of time refining technically, while spending zero time refining it mechanically to provide less friction and engaging gameplay. Pros: - Nice graphics and visual implementation - Great music, even tho maybe clashing a bit with the retro style of the game - Variety of characters and powers ups Cons: - Awkward controls, that seemingly are in places awkward and more annoying than fun by design - Very slow start which doesn't try to pull you into the game - Not even an attempt of lore or story or flavor or hint of giving anything you do any purpose or at least intent The controls feel awkward and it's get worse by small issues with them: - When you run into an obstacle, you lose control of your character and have to move your mouse back over it and click it again to control it again. This seems by design to make it "more challenging" by being punished for getting stuck on obstacles, but mainly it's a mechanic which is more annoyance than challenge or fun and therefore seems like a bad call. It's even worse that when you then accidentally move the mouse on the left of the screen it will open an overlay window showing your character stats while hiding the actual gameplay behind it. - When you move out of the room through a door on one end of the screen, you lose control of your character, which will then spawn again on the opposite side of the screen where you will have to move your mouse and click it again to gain control of it again. If you pick very niche controls for a game, you should try VERY hard to at least make them as intuitive and fun to use as possible. It should be very simple: you should never lose control of your character when you don't intent to and you should always have means to easily interact with windows and buttons when needed. Neither is the case here. And for many things there would be really easy solutions: You have a level up window picking a choice of three bonuses? Let the player use 1, 2 or 3 to choose one, since they have to use WASD anyhow and mouse is focused on character control. When the player opens a chest, let them pick up items that same way. Don't force the mouse to be player movement AND UI interaction at the same time, when there's no reason to do so or it can't be implemented in a way that just is totally seamless. Speaking of chests. The game doesn't halt when you open a treasure chest. Especially when you start out and have to read item descriptions, this is very much not fun. I can understand you think this "part of the challenge", but when a mechanic is more annoyance than fun, then don't add it to the game. This is a clear case of such for me. It's a pity this game is such wasted potential. Especially since someone clearly poured their heart and soul into this, but focused too much on what they think is fun, instead of focusing on what actually might be fun for others to play.
fun in an awkward way, like the office
