Dragon Ruins II: Aftermath

Overall a good improvement over the base game of Dragon Ruins II. The art, music, and overall aesthetic continue to be excellent, the writing is minimal but sets the mood well, and the mechanics provide enough challenge that even though it's an autobattler, you still have to pay some attention and manage your equipment and resources.

Still has that old-school charm, but it's also really convenient. It's the perfect game to chill with Steam Deck!

I'm quite pleased with Dragon Ruins 2 Aftermath. The series has always scratched that pick up and play dungeon diving experience and Aftermath the same. Being an expansion to the second game there's more similarities to it than the leap between DR1 and DR2. Aftermath feels more like the "deluxe" or "complete" edition of DR2 and I'm totally fine with that. The new additions have all been welcome (I really like the Wanted Monsters feature)! Be sure to cycle through the quest list as the original DR2 quests are slotted at the end after the first new batch of S ranks. It's easier to level up the original starter levels if that's your jam. Overall did you enjoy Dragon Ruins 1 or 2? Well yeah you'll probably vibe with DR2+ then. It's good to be back

Games keep freezing after I complete a level on C, the screen turns all gray after I warp. Tried everything. Cant get my money back because Ive played over 8 hours.

Great improvement to the previous game. better items and economy make gaining loot more meaningful. a few other incremental additions make for a better version of dragon ruins 2 all around

I'll update the review after playing more, but for now I want to support the dev :) Only thing I'm missing is a way to check the stats and perks when chosing a new perk at level up.

Love this newest entry. Lots of great quality of life updates, deeper mechanics, more content. Perfect for Steam Deck
