I'm surprised reviews were so positive considering how weak the game is. Gameplay is more than simple, you pretty much have a normal attack 3 key press combo and a charged ability. That's it, for most encounters you can spam your normal attack and enemies will be staggered. If it's not easy enough, you can do a perfect dodge with space and unleash a super powerful attack that kills everything and does about a quart of a boss life. Beat'em up don't need to be complicated but this game is trying to be more and does not achieve it. There is loot but the healing items are very very weak, offensive items will probably do less damage than your normal attack and others consumables are not really worth it either. You also gather gold to sometime get a random item from a shop, heal or repair your armor. ( I have no idea if armor is only cosmetic or affect defense, could not tell with the UI. ) The english translation is horrible, to the point the main character is named San in the game but Sue on the store page. Probably google translated and some items don't seems to do what the text say and I'm not sure if it's the translation or they are simply not working. Artifacts take an item slot to give a passive bonus but some artifact don't seems to work sometimes. I got one that would regen 1 hp / sec but it started working about 5 screens later. The only good thing I can say about the game is the graphics are nice. Not that many different enemy sprites so you'll start to see recolored enemies in the short hour or two it will take to go through the game. The ending is also very short, you end up back in the first town like nothing happened. You meet many different characters once and spend a couple seconds with them, what's the point of all those woman in skimpy outfits if you don't spend time with them anyway? Achievements are also not even translated so good luck getting them unless it's only to finish the game and max out all the skills. Because they also added useless skills to unlock to be able to call it a rogue-like. Equipment seems to only change a stat or two and nothing is really better and you don't feel any progression. I finished the game with a bow I got about 10 minutes in. Bows are also way too strong because they also stagger, so often you'll clear the screen before anything get close to you. I don't want to be too harsh on the developers because at least the game works but the game design is flawed and not really fun. I think there are only 5 or maybe 6 not that lewd CGs so it's not even worth it for that if that's what you are looking for. It's cheap so you won't lose much but I would not recommend this for anyone. There is no reason to play this over any of the old beat'em up, buy Golden Axe instead, same price but still better 30 years later
Short, generic, uninspired, simplistic, VERY cringy, horribly translated, the list goes on. You play as Sue, the Dragon Knight who is, I don't know, into killing dragons or something. There she goes, killing... dragons and that's it. The game will present you with a couple of NPCs and choices, but they are largely irrelevant to anything. The "story" (if you can call that) loops back to the beginning, so the game never "ends". The leveling system is nice, tough, and the artstyle is GREAT. These are the two nice things I can say about the game. There seems to be an H-patch if you're into that, but I think that there are what, 6 or 7 CGs? The game was a bit buggy on Linux via Proton, but nothing compares with the wonky translation. Achievements work, but are all in Japanese, so you'll need a guide to even have a clue as to what you have to do. But the biggest mystery of all is: why am I writing this review? This game is delisted and you cannot get it anymore. I guess that this will remain here for Future Benny
I am already getting quite forgetful...
I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.
