This is a fun and polished (coop) rougelite platformer, and I have no idea why it is sitting at just 5 Steam reviews. Edit: it's also really challenging later on. Beware!
Starts out pretty boring... and the movement is janky. Pass.
Full Review: https://youtu.be/d-7R1wiaFUg What is going on here!? Such a cute aesthetic with one of the hardest (for no reason) games I've ever played. It takes a very methodical play style (slow) because some of the enemies blend into the background. Since the game is so unforgiving you need to be VERY careful when progressing. Dragodino is pretty stingy on the health. I got very frustrated that the game takes everything away from you when you die. I expect the game is not correctly balanced for normal difficultly. Hardcore is only one life so this isn't an issue there. However they made normal too difficult! If you can't make it through the game with power ups and then the game takes them away, you have no chance to survive. Be prepared to experience something like "I wanna be the guy". If you're interested in playing something super hard then you should be OK. The controls are good and the main mechanic of reaching new levels is interesting. I wish they would have gone farther though if they wanted to make a game that was damn near impossible.

Bon! DragoDino! Bonne continuation!
(Thanks to TealRocks studios : Received Free for review purposes) Dragodino is a colourful, family friendly multiplayer platform game with nice audio and simple yet fun gameplay mechanics. GAMEPLAY **************** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIxZMQrUJUQ QUICK REVIEW ********************* Pros - - Colourful and bright with nice animations on each character and some fun audio accompaniment. - Family friendly, easy to learn (once you figure it out) and a lot of fun. - Nice audio sounds from the characters, the music is palatable too. - Nice details on characters, balancing on ledges and make fun noises when jumping etc.. - Great Parent + Child game; Challenging enough for adults & easy enough for youngsters. - In multiplayer you can easily work together. - Each stage increases in difficulty and introduces new enemies to figure out and deal with. Cons - - Tutorial is a little lacking, still not sure what all the power-ups actually do!? - Some better feedback in-game required; "not enough coins" would help quickly acclimatise new players to the game. - Not the longest game, although there are some unlocks available and a "quickest time" challenge for replayability. - Can become repetitive after about an hour or two. - Audio can become overwhelming after an hour or two. Final Thoughts ******************** This is TealRocks studios first release and you can see the level of quality they put into their games, definitely a developer I am going to look out for in the future. There are 4 characters each with 2 styles available making a total of 8 character options to choose from. The characters each have their own strengths and weaknesses and this game is best played in multiplayer where you can help each other out. I constantly search for games that I can play with my daughter and this is a great example of just such a game. I think the price is good for the game, although who doesn't want to grab it in a sale??? Overall I think this is a great fun, family game that your youngsters can play and enjoy on their own but also play with you and work as a team which is my favourite type of game.
DragoDino is a fun and cute rogue-lite platformer. I enjoyed playing through the game and unlocking what content the game has to offer. I also greatly appreciate the split screen cooperative play and Linux support. While this game feels rather difficult at first, it starts to feel too easy (especially for the rogue-lite genre) as you get more experienced. I would purchase a sequel to this title if it had some improvements. Most notably, some things I think would greatly enhance this game include: a. More powerups, b. More levels (ie. harder levels), c. More bosses, d. More comprehensive unlock system, e. An easier difficulty "casual" to play with friends who are not veterans of the rogue-lite genre.
Gostei do jogo, simples e divertido.
No remapping of buttons: I hate shooting with shoulder buttons... And the controls feel mushy in general. The game is actually pretty cute and the soundtrack makes you smile. Would have loved to play this game, but those 2 things mentioned above are deal breakers. Game is out for almost 4 years now, so I don't think they will fix it. Better wait for Bubble Bobble - yes, it is coming.
DragoDino is a deceptively cute yet demanding 2D action-platformer that blends classic arcade sensibilities with roguelike structure and vertical exploration. At first glance, its bright colors and cartoonish presentation suggest a lighthearted experience, but once play begins it becomes clear that the game is designed to test patience, precision, and adaptability. You play as Bob, a small but determined dinosaur climbing an enormous tree to recover his stolen egg, and this simple premise serves as the foundation for a surprisingly layered and challenging journey. The core structure revolves around upward progression through procedurally generated stages. Each run is divided into multiple vertical levels, and while the overall themes remain consistent, the placement of platforms, enemies, hazards, and collectibles changes every time. This procedural design keeps exploration fresh and unpredictable, forcing players to read environments quickly and react rather than rely on memorization. Movement and jumping are central to survival, and the game places heavy emphasis on mastering vertical mobility, timing, and spatial awareness as the climb becomes more dangerous with each stage. Combat in DragoDino is straightforward but unforgiving. Bob has access to ranged attacks, but enemies are aggressive and often positioned to punish careless movement. Because health is limited, mistakes carry weight, and recklessly charging ahead usually leads to failure. This creates a careful rhythm of advancing, clearing threats, and scouting paths upward. As difficulty increases, players must balance speed with caution, especially when navigating narrow platforms, environmental hazards, and enemy patterns that demand precise jumps and positioning. One of the game’s most compelling systems is its extensive collection of power-ups. These range from passive bonuses that enhance jumping, gliding, or damage output to situational abilities that can dramatically alter how a run unfolds. Players can only carry a limited number of power-ups at once, which encourages thoughtful decision-making rather than hoarding. Shops scattered throughout the game allow unused power-ups to be stored for future runs, introducing a form of long-term progression that rewards experimentation and persistence. Over time, this system gives players greater control over their builds and strategies, even as the procedural levels remain unpredictable. Visually, DragoDino adopts a vibrant pixel-art style that contrasts sharply with its difficulty. Environments are colorful and expressive, enemies are clearly readable despite their variety, and Bob himself is animated with charm and personality. This friendly presentation helps soften the frustration of repeated failure, making the game feel inviting even when it is punishing. The soundtrack reinforces this contrast, offering upbeat and playful music that underscores the adventure rather than the tension, which can make defeats feel less discouraging than they might in a darker or more oppressive game. Difficulty is where DragoDino most strongly defines itself, and also where it can become divisive. Checkpoints are sparse in the standard mode and completely absent in hardcore mode, meaning that a single mistake late in a level can erase significant progress. Boss fights, in particular, are challenging and often require multiple attempts to learn patterns and timings. For players who enjoy trial-and-error mastery, this structure is deeply satisfying. For others, the repetition and loss of progress can feel overly harsh, especially during longer play sessions. The inclusion of local cooperative play adds an important dimension to the experience. With two players sharing the climb, the difficulty becomes more manageable and the moment-to-moment gameplay gains a social dynamic. Cooperation allows for faster exploration, shared responsibility in combat, and recovery from mistakes that would otherwise end a run. For many players, co-op transforms DragoDino from a punishing solo challenge into a chaotic and enjoyable shared adventure. Overall, DragoDino is a game built around persistence and mastery. It combines procedural level design, tight platforming, and a deep power-up system into a cohesive experience that rewards learning and patience. While its difficulty and limited checkpoints will not appeal to everyone, those who enjoy challenging platformers with roguelike elements will find a game rich with replayability and personality. Beneath its cheerful exterior lies a demanding climb, but one that consistently rewards players willing to push higher, adapt, and try again. Rating: 6/10
