Do you have what it takes to defend what is yours? This is not a typical tower defense game where the troops do all the work. This is a hybrid FPS/TPS tower defense game which you take over the control to defend your island.

A pretty fun game with lots of potential. There are some bugs which is to be suspected for early access but they are not terrible. Also, the sounds need to be improved. For the time that I have owned it I have really enjoyed this game a lot. Definitely is a game that's a lot of fun with friends. I just wish the game included a tips section as I am not really sure where to place my turrets, what quantity of which turrets to place, and the best way to place my walls. A little more direction would help. Overall I recommend it.
Super Tower Defense Spiel, freue mich auf weitere updates. :)
I like the concept of Tower Defence and FPS that your using. So far I kinda find it fun, but annoying. I think it has potential. I know you all lowered the price because its an early release. Its not worth the original price as is and its debatable if its worth the discount price in its current state. What I do not like: -Takes forever to set up and build walls etc. I wish there was a way to zoom out to speed up building (I am not talking about the X button 2 views you offer), like a top view build mode. Having to carefully be positoned correctly in the tank to set up walls and then you can only place 5 or so before you have to move and relign up. Not to bad right? Well depending on the terrain your tank is on, it wont fully stop, your tank will slightly move backwards or forward while your trying to place walls. you constantly are having to toggle cursor and aim as well during this process of building, it gets annoying really quick. NOTE: You could add a much larger wall segment, maybe one that is 5 and or 10 times bigger (longer), to help speed up wall placement. -More flexibility when aiming with your tank. You can only pivot up so far to try and fight fliers. -You have no awareness of what types of monsters you will be dealing with like other Tower Defence games or where they are coming from. I started building normally and when I got to the 3rd or 4th round,, mobs of flyers only spawned and I just died and had to start all over. -Save points every 10 turns? In my opinion this has to be lower to 5 or less. It starts to get harder after round 10. Then it boots you back to a tedious time consuming boss fight if you die. -Resources. You get 3 colors for resources, Green (common), Blue (uncommon), Purple (rare). Through the time I have played so far, The math does not add up. Your upgrading towers and run out of Green very quickly and have gobs of Blue and Purple sitting around doing nothing. Green resources need a higher drop rate. -Drones. The Drones wont stop moving unless you build walls around them and lock them in, which brings me to me next point, they fly! Why do the walls stop them? Why can they not fly over the walls? they get stuck alot as a result. Clicking on them to upgrade is an absolute night mare. When you click on something to upgrade it, the upgrade follows the object, since your having to switch to cursor mode to do this, the drones are moving and they move very quickly before you can click anything. You basically have to wait till one stops (good luck) or get lucky with random clicking as it flies away. How many drones can we summon? You all state you increased their duration from 5 minutes to 10 minutes. Why? Make them permanent or give us a tab that allow us to click on them from the tab and keep track of them and their timers. Just my 2 cents for now. Would love to play it more, but it does need some fine tuning. I recommend this game only if some changes are made to improve the game play.
I just played the tutorial and died at wave 6 to the first wave of flying enemies...not the first time this happened to me in a tower defense type game. I would highly reccomend this game just from playing it for a half hour. You guys have done a good job. I was surprised at the quality of the tank. One thing I particulary enjoy is the fact the tank has a diesel engine lending it a nice growl...kinda high tech meets old tech.. I dont want to say much more until I play it more but I like what I see so far. Here is my biggest suggestion for the devs on this game...change the name. Defenders of fallen Island is too long and not to the point...Im thinking in the lines of kingdom rush, Bloonz, sacred treasure,...the name is too long and hard to remember and not catchy enough.. I hope to see more of this game and games like it as they develop into even better versions. Good work guys, keep it up. i paid like 9$ for the game I beleive..good deal
DOTFI Tower Defense/DEFENDERS OF THE FALLEN ISLAND is a hybrid third person vehicle shooter/tower defense game. The developers sell this as an FPS, but that is misleading as the game is wholly in third person perspective, and you drive a tank. Gameplay consists of driving and upgrading your tank, and placing defenses around a large, exposed, open tower. The game seems somewhat unpolished and unfinished. The UI is extremely frustrating, requiring you to click the middle mouse wheel to switch between mouselook and the mouse pointer. Likewise the large open area is a frustrating thing to defend. Perhaps the developers felt multiplayer would save the game, but it's dead online due to the clunky interface and lack of polish. This was really a promising idea for a game but the weak implementation lets it down. I'm going to advise players consider Sanctum or Orcs Must Die instead.
Could be my favorite game ... if it were ever going to be finished.
Cant play multi-player with my brother..... Fun game though!! just wish the online server worked so me and my brother could play this but it would never let us connect
Not as fun as i thought it would be. I guess it could be fun if you had friends that also had this game maybe. other than that good luck trying to play this solo.
