It is a good game but it gets a little too hard in some scenarios.

"Note: The last update made by the developers was over 2 years ago. The information and timeline described by the developers here may no longer be up to date." As it stands, in its unfinished state, it's a mediocre Quake mod with the price tag of a finished indie game.
oldschool 90's gameplay and a lovely community <3
The best way I can phrase this is Doombringer is to Quake 3 as Wrack is to Doom. Definitely recommended, but has a very niche feel that may only appeal to hardcore genre fans. Excited to see what happens in Episode 2 and if things get shaken up more, similar to how Dusk's episodes played out.
Gave up after 6 minutes. Thought this would be a great DOOM alternative, but I wasn't impressed at all. The character moves as if he's constantly slipping on banana peels (or jam) and turns very awkwardly. In the first level you can only use the melee so you're completely overpowered. If you're looking for a frustrating FPS go for it, not my cup of tea though.
After playing it again I've changed my review to positive, it's a shame the game seems abandoned (though there are still rumors in 2025 that episode 2 is still in development) because it's a pretty good if basic Quake clone (Quake II to be specific), there's just not that much here. It needs more meat on those bloody bones. Movement is fast and aiming is tight, though there's no crouch nor is there any kind of boost/blast/kick jump, and the game could really use it. It's just simple arenas, nothing fancy, with the typical light puzzle solving and secret areas and lots of chumps to blast. It's nothing special, but I'm still hoping there's more, it's fun enough if you like the style.
Good but not enough. Make it 16 hrs at least.
非常棒的游戏 但是 为什么不能手动换弹……
