Doomba

This game is very short, very silly, there are no achievements to be earned and this game doesn't effect your steam profile in any significant way, Its file size is also fairly small, but overall, it is an interesting experience nonetheless, and if you are bored and like things like PowerWash Simulator, I'd say give it a try, but don't get too excited. Side note: This game does state that it is controller compatible, but it actually WANTS you to use a controller.

I love the idea. And for student project it's great. But… Implementation is just too lacking for a proper finished game. I like that music changes over the time, but I didn't like the choice of music. It sounds like boring free library samples. Visuals are mostly OK, I guess. Except that fungal creature, its face and its movement. Gameplay in general is just you roaming around, vacuuming the floor and cleaning windows or walls. Periodically you need to change water. And it has sense from game point of view to have refill in every room, but it's so weird from worldbuilding pov. Closing button only on one side of the door also raises many questions. The way dirt disappears is quite a “devs barely gave a f*** to the main mechanic of their game” moment. Shrooms collapsing with popping sound are just sad. Also, the game supposedly optimized for controllers, and I may confirm it's very clunky with mouse+keyboard. And then the way the plot implied is pain. AI is not fun and incredibly unhelpful, Doomba's acting is painfully bad. They could talk and tell us an interesting story of what's going on, but instead you get lots of “you have a short attention span” remarks while you just struggle to notice that last dirt spot. Especially since most walls have that rusty texture that totally helps. That's nope from me.
