About
In this award-winning* satire of gaming culture, you'll face the ultimate test of willpower against history's most manipulative pirate. He'll beg. He'll bargain. He'll gaslight. He'll hit you with uncomfortable psychological questions and make you question your own life choices if need be! He'll assault you with anime references and memes from all ages - some so ancient your grandpa might still remember them!
He'll even try bribes like "I have a Half-Life 3 beta key!" (He's lying).
💬 1,000+ Lines of Trash Talk: Dialogue that reacts to your deaths, timing, and hesitation.
🤡 Unpredictable Humour: Fourth-wall breaking gags about developers, players, and the game itself. Some references are so old and obscure you’ll wonder if you and the developer are the only two people on Earth who get them!
🏴☠️ Master of Mischief: Our antihero is a real master of his craft! He controls the lighting, the fog, and even the wind! He can summon music out of thin air (how does he even do that?) just to set the mood and mess with your head. But that's not all - rumor has it he possesses the technology to count your deaths! Unbelievable!
🎵 JRPG Vibes & Lo-Fi Chills: Need a break? Just leave the game running in the background! The Pirate has nearly an hour of original arrangements inspired by the golden age of JRPG legends and more. It’s basically "Lo-Fi Pirate Beats to Press X To."
🌍 Devious Localization: Our pirate has sailed the seven seas and knows the cultures well. He adapts his jokes to specific national tastes that hit really hard! Nothing is sacred to him.
⏳ Respects Your Time (Not like the Pirate): We cut out the crafting system, the fetch quests, and the 50-hour campaign. What's left? A concentrated dose of 30-60 minutes of madness. Perfect for a lunch break or a quick existential crisis.
Press X to experience regret!
(Seriously, don't press it. Or do? We're not your mum.)

I haven't written a Steam review for 6 years, but I had to do it for this one. This isn't a game. This is an experience. It's not for everyone. You should know what you're getting into. My mind was going through a million things while "playing" this. Some things made me laugh out loud. The music transitions were really nice, and the music is unironically good. This is a truly unique experience. I can't think of any other medium where I sit down and simply don't have to press X. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's the best experience ever, or that everyone should play it. But it's an interesting way to spend half an hour to an hour. And you'll be one of the few people in the world who did so. My only complaint is that some of the lines felt like filler. If those can be sharpened up with more wit, I'd recommend this to my friends. As it stands, it's too niche of a game. Fixing that dialogue (monologue?) would take it over the edge.
I wanted to refund this game, but I can't find the X button on Steam to do it.
Прошел на все достижения так не засчитали за идеальную игру
Прекрасная игра, которая очень филигранно играет с любопытством, так и хочется нажимать на Х, чтобы смотреть новые тейки.
So a friend of mine once told me - there are games and there are toys. And the main difference a toy has is that you must figure out how to play with it. Honestly, I don't know what I expected when I bought this -maybe the requirement of 15 years of web weeb surfing got me, maybe the title is provocative enough, I don't know. But after I realized that there is literally nothing here except staring at a pirate, and pressing X means your doom, I was kinda on the brink of refunding since there is no actual "game" here. But then the pirate phrases started to kinda blend with my feelings - and I stayed a while and listened. I accepted the "toy rules" here - and genuinely tried not to press X. And it kinda started working for me! I played for like an hour - maybe more, but some reference jokes and music transitions were really hitting the spot for my nostalgia and general "what will happen if I press that button?" So I haven't refunded in the end, and will even give a positive review for the developer - since there is something interesting here, but I feel like you really need to be ready for such an experience and be open to it. Still, this is an advance in a way, so the developer will go and refine those ideas into something more like a game and not just a toy.
Ну наверно стоит сказать, что набор фраз даже просто слушая пират отдельное удовольствие, а когда расслабляешься и начинаешь кликать на Х, то вообще хохма, но как с последней ачивкой я туплю че делать!
pretty cool game with some funny banter, couldn't really get a hang of the controls though.
This pirate is cunning and crafty - he will provoke you, but at the same time evoke nostalgic memories and take you back to the carefree times. It's a message wrapped in an interesting package, and of course, there is surprise for the curious minds. I recommend it, especially if they bring in the steam cards.
