About
Don't Be A Baby! is a humorous and action-packed side-scrolling run and gun game with a twist: instead of changing other objects, the player's bottle weapon shoots in different patterns! With a hilarious narrative, players take on the role of Max Murphy, a baby who has finally had enough of his neglectful mother and decides to venture out into the world on his own. As he navigates through the city's nightlife, Max must use his wits and his trusty bottle weapon to defend himself against a variety of colorful enemies, including drunken partygoers, strippers, and other unsavory characters.
Each level is focused on a boss fight, with four bosses having their own unique levels to battle through. The game also features a skateboarding level and a flying level, adding some variety to the gameplay.

I'll recommend solely because I laughed at this game quite a bit. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing to be honest. The game play is pretty basic but it mostly controls fine and is interesting enough for the 30 minutes it took me to play all the way through. For those of you that are a bit older like myself I think you'll appreciate the brashness of this game. Check out my video if you want to see some of what I mentioned here in action and hear my full thoughts on the game. Video: https://youtu.be/qjdC80h-hOM
Playthrough here: https://youtu.be/44z2BzUE2I8 Game reminds me a lot of Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rampage on the SNES so if you like challenging side scrolling shooters like that this is the game for you if you decide to take on the challenge of the harder difficulties. I'm super glad the creator put in an easier difficulty because I suck at these types of games personally so at least I could make it to the end and see all the cut scenes. One of the few games at this price where it's fully voice-acted and has a solid amount of cutscenes throughout.
A great indie action platformer! There are twelve levels and you're a baby who needs to get his devil of a mother to come home with him and take care of him!
This game is awesome I enjoyed playing every minute of it and I highly recommend it
I love this character. He has much charm and I hope his story continues!
Don't Be A Baby! Is a hilarious adventure as Max, a baby seeking his mother. Quick witted cut scenes are plentiful between levels. The humor is definitely for adults, which is constantly surprising. The controls are tight and responsive, which results in making the player feel strong and agile.
This game feels like a call-back for those who grew up with Flash Games and Newgrounds. Similar style and humour as back then. The concept of being a baby armed with their bottle, and zero chill, bonkers in the best way; You're dodging nightclub bouncers, riding a drone, skateboarding away from clowns and even fighting cultists. But let's look at pro's, con's and personal opinions. ------------------------------------------------------ Con's -Enemies respawn very fast -Enemies shoot faster than you can react (sometimes) -Hard to notice when it's a boss or a random enemiy at the start of playing -Difficult to know what's background or foreground objects, making it awkward to know when you can just go through or have to jump over things -Some Cutscenes can feel random and out of place -Jumping / Jump+Dash isn't consistent -Enemies can be unforgiving, from their odd collisions to immediately firing when appearing on screen, not giving you time to react Pro's +Cutscene details were MUCH better than you'd expect going in (example: echo's in tunnels, proper light changes) +The Light effects are smooth and realistic +Vehicle levels (Skateboard/Drone) controls smoothly +Audio in the levels are consistent and well balanced +Variety in levels +Surprisingly chill game, despite looking chaotic Personal ~I'm a fan of more cartoony vibes, which this game delivers in plenty ~It knows what it is and is unapologetically itself ~Took me back to my childhood, we had a lot of this kind of humour growing up ~Silly weapons is best weapons ------------------------------------------------------ Would I recommend "Don't Be A Baby!"? Yes, yes I would, for the fact that you get a laid back game for a good price. You might finish it in half an hour, you might finish it in two, but it scratches that "serious but not serious childhood game" we all grew up with. I rate it an 7/10 ---This game was reviewed LIVE on Twitch but Draakpan & Twitch Chat---
I have to say, I Really stink at sidescrollers and platformers, but man did I have fun with this little game. I laughed my hieny off while playing. This is really a fun game.
