《Divide By Sheep 2》
Definately made for mobile. Would recommend if it was f2p, but it's not. I like math puzzles, and though cute, these are sometimes hard to understand.
I've finished Divide by Sheep and I love it! The ideas of this new game are great, and the puzzle design is brilliant! But it is unfinished (some ideas in the trailer aren't shown in the game), and it has some annoying bugs. I love this game, but the bugs are ruining it. This review will turn positive if the bugs are fixed.
Not what i was expecting even tho i saw the trailer but if youre into puzzles buy it ig
Divide By Sheep 2 is a clever and darkly humorous puzzle game that takes simple arithmetic concepts and turns them into chaotic survival challenges involving doomed sheep, dangerous traps, and increasingly absurd problem-solving scenarios. Developed by Victor Solodilov and Denis Novikov and published by tinyBuild, the game expands on the original Divide By Sheep formula by introducing more mechanics, larger puzzle variety, and even more bizarre situations where players must manipulate groups of animals to satisfy mathematical conditions. What makes the game stand out is how successfully it combines cute cartoon presentation with ruthless puzzle design built entirely around sacrificing sheep in the most efficient ways possible. The core gameplay revolves around moving groups of stranded sheep between islands while deadly floodwaters slowly consume the environment. In order to rescue the animals, players must divide them into exact numerical groups required by each stage. The concept sounds simple at first, but the game quickly introduces hazards and environmental mechanics that force players to constantly rethink their strategies. Lasers slice sheep into halves, wolves eat specific numbers of animals, krakens drag creatures underwater, and floating platforms alter how groups can be transported. The result is a surprisingly inventive puzzle system where every sheep effectively becomes part of a constantly shifting math equation. One of the game’s greatest strengths is how naturally the puzzles evolve over time. Early levels introduce basic arithmetic concepts in ways that feel easy to understand and approachable even for casual players. However, later stages become significantly more demanding as additional mechanics begin interacting simultaneously. Puzzles eventually require players to think multiple steps ahead while carefully managing how hazards affect group sizes and movement possibilities. The game consistently introduces new ideas at a steady pace, preventing the puzzle-solving from becoming repetitive too quickly. The dark humor is another major reason the experience remains memorable. Divide By Sheep 2 fully embraces the absurdity of treating adorable cartoon animals as disposable mathematical tools. Sheep explode, get cut apart, drown in floods, or are eaten by monsters, all presented with exaggerated animations and cheerful visual effects that make the violence feel intentionally ridiculous rather than disturbing. The contrast between the bright art style and the ruthless puzzle solutions gives the game a strange comedic identity that separates it from more traditional logic puzzle titles. Visually, the game uses a colorful and highly readable cartoon presentation that works perfectly for its puzzle-focused gameplay. Characters are expressive, environments remain clean and easy to navigate, and important mechanics are visually communicated clearly even during more complicated stages. The simple art style helps players immediately understand how different hazards and puzzle elements interact, which becomes especially important during later levels where multiple systems overlap simultaneously. The sound design supports the game’s playful atmosphere extremely well. Cheerful music continues playing while sheep are launched into deadly traps or devoured by monsters, reinforcing the intentionally absurd tone of the experience. Sound effects for splitting animals, triggering hazards, and completing puzzle objectives are exaggerated in satisfying ways that make both success and failure entertaining. The overall audio presentation helps maintain a relaxed and comedic atmosphere even during more difficult puzzle sections. One of the biggest improvements in the sequel is the larger amount of puzzle variety. With over 150 levels and multiple gameplay mechanics introduced throughout progression, the game consistently provides new scenarios that challenge players to adapt their thinking. Some puzzles focus heavily on timing and movement order, while others become more focused on manipulating hazards in creative ways to produce exact numerical outcomes. The developers clearly understand how important pacing is in puzzle design, and the game rarely allows mechanics to become stale before introducing new complications. The game also works surprisingly well as a casual educational experience without ever feeling like a traditional educational product. Mathematical thinking and logical reasoning are integrated directly into the gameplay itself, making players naturally practice problem-solving through experimentation rather than through obvious lessons or tutorials. This approach allows the puzzles to remain genuinely entertaining instead of feeling like disguised homework exercises. However, the game still has some limitations that become more noticeable over time. While the puzzle mechanics are creative, the overall structure remains fairly consistent from beginning to end. Even though new hazards and interactions continue appearing, the fundamental divide-and-transfer formula rarely changes dramatically. Players who spend large amounts of time with puzzle games may eventually begin recognizing repeated patterns in level design and solution logic. Difficulty balancing can also feel uneven in certain sections. Some puzzles are solved almost immediately, while others require extensive trial-and-error experimentation before the intended solution becomes clear. Certain late-game levels feel less intuitive than earlier stages, occasionally slowing the pacing and leading to moments of frustration when mechanics interact in unexpected ways. Replay value is another somewhat limited area. Once the campaign has been completed and most puzzles solved, there are fewer incentives to revisit stages outside of improving efficiency or replaying favorite levels. The game is primarily designed as a focused single-player puzzle experience rather than an endlessly replayable challenge game. Despite these shortcomings, Divide By Sheep 2 succeeds because of its originality, humor, and consistently entertaining puzzle design. It transforms simple arithmetic into chaotic problem-solving scenarios filled with bizarre hazards and surprisingly clever level mechanics. The game never takes itself seriously, and that playful tone helps make even the most difficult puzzles feel enjoyable rather than exhausting. For players who enjoy logic puzzle games, dark comedy, and creative mathematical challenges, Divide By Sheep 2 delivers a highly entertaining and memorable experience. While its limited long-term replayability and occasional difficulty spikes prevent it from becoming a perfect puzzle game, its charming presentation, inventive mechanics, and unique sense of humor make it one of the more distinctive casual puzzle titles available. Rating: 7/10
TLDR: A terrible game that’s especially disappointing given how good the first one was. Always online requirement, tons of bugs, and a broken level 1/3 of the way through the game that halts any further play as you can’t skip levels. 1/10 (Burning your money gives the same value with less frustration)

I love puzzle games and I really enjoyed the first Divide By Sheep game. Despite the negative reviews, I decided to give this sequel a chance. Big mistake. Compared to the first game, the puzzles are much more simple. In fact, most take almost no thinking and 15s or less to finish. I thought that would be my biggest issue with the game after the first few puzzles (like many negative reviews here), but boy was I wrong. A list of issues I encountered in 2 hours of play: 1) The game has an always online requirement...for a single player game with no online features. Upon booting the game, twice I was met with a “Lost Internet Connection” message and the game wouldn’t load. My internet was working fine both times, so I’m guessing there was an issue on the publisher side. No mention of this always online requirement is made on the store page. 2) The game explains nothing. The puzzle game mechanics you can figure out through trial and error, but even then it would be faster to have a quick explanation when new mechanics are introduced. You unlock coins, gems, and decorating items, but I don’t know what these are used for. You can spend coins on another screen to build a mining machine that yields...more coins, but again for what? There’s also a steal coins mini game that I could never get to work, because again nothing is explained. 3) You cannot just pick a level. Instead, levels of 5 are unlocked and you have to play a slide puzzle mini game to power the new square of puzzles so that you can play them. It’s tedious, adds nothing in terms of gameplay or challenge, and has nothing to do with what most people signed up to play. In addition, you cannot skip any levels and have to play through them in order. 4) This game has so many bugs. I got soft locked numerous times when the menu and level reset buttons simply didn’t appear for a level. The only option was to Tab out and shut down the program. Heck, the Lost Internet Connection screen has zero way to exit it and is a soft lock by default. Within levels, buttons would also break. There were times when the swipe to rotate a puzzle from day to night (a required game mechanic) would just stop responding. Or on other puzzles, the game mechanic of a wolf with a full belly that falls into a trap is supposed to exit the trap after with an empty belly so it can eat another sheep, yet several times wolves would be stuck with full bellies and levels could not be completed. Again, my playtime was 2 hours and I saw so many bugs already in that short time. 5) Level 57 appears to be broken. I can find no way to solve it, but thinking it might just be me I looked online. On the Apple app store, there are several reviews saying the same thing about level 57. On a Youtube walkthrough of the game level 57 is skipped for some reason, and there are several comments on the video saying that level can’t be solved. The Steam store page says there are 150 levels in the game but given that I mentioned earlier you cannot skip any levels, I’m basically blocked from playing the remaining 2/3 of the game. The worst part? I couldn’t decide if I should be upset about that or relieved I don’t have to spend any more time on this mess of a game. Overall, there’s zero reason to play this game. Go buy or replay the first one instead as it has more challenging puzzles, better presentation, and is an actual working game.
I really like the game. Compared to the first one, it's easier, but the new mechanics add some creativity. Still, I feel like they haven’t been fully explored, and there’s room to increase the difficulty.
