A visual novel with mild choice-based progression. In this prologue story, follow an inquisitve college student into the depths of deceptive corporate lab: Moniker Innovation. Begin to unravel a mystery larger than the young journalist looking for answers and even this game itself.

короткая новелла с коротким сюжетом. Самое то после работы переключиться на другую игру и не потратив много времени (у многих личная жизнь к сведению)
Played for 20 mins, seems like there's only one possible route to beating the game which I can't seem to figure out after restarting at least 10 times. Getting to the room with the "entity" seems easy enough but every option seems to only end in you going "missing" and the game ending there. Recommend it if you want to kill 5-10 minutes of your time on a small game.

This game is incredibly short.. There's almost no content and I don't think there's any way to complete the game at all. A bit of a waste of time!
Moniker is up to no good! Loved the dialogue!
SPOILER WARNING It's very short, only takes like 5 minutes to play. Every single thing you do just leads to the same outcome, there's no point.
"Dissent is a visual novel with choice-based progression and has a strong narrative focus. " Absolute nonsense. There's no novel here, choices often lead to the same outcome and there are only two possible endings, with neither being satisfying and only one of them can be ascribed to the main character's actions. My stool has a stronger "narrative focus" than this drivel.
**Spoilers: I play tested this game prior to release, so please take this review with that in mind.** Its a short game, but that's how its intended. The idea is to serve as a prologue, so I won't comment on the length. The writing and the characters are cute. The subtle callbacks are well played. This game was made in, I want to say, about 5 weeks? maybe less, and with that in mind, it shows a lot of talent from the team. I appreciate how the different paths show different content, and let you get to know some of the characters better (Clarence and Jeff at the very least). Will it win GotY at the game awards? No, but it doesn't have to. Its solidly done with some great touches (the flickering halogen light, the solid ambient sounds, the smooth jazz reminiscent of other similar noir-style games). Well done to the team and I can't wait to see the full game that this leads into.
