A retro precision platforming adventure that is free and quite good. Most stages have a gimmick which mixes up the gameplay nicely. Some decent chiptune music. When I saw that the boss of the game had a 4th phase I decided to call it quits. You die in 1 hit and that felt a bit punishing for that sequence, I don't mind cutting my game short there. Good stuff! |b
A short and well-rounded precision platformer. You start with an intro stage then you can do the rest at any order. After that the final stage is unlocked where you get all your abilities to switch between before you face the final boss. Each stage utilize one of the classic platformer gimmicks: wall jump, double jump, dash, glide, gravity flip (there is even a VVVVVV easter egg) and some not so interesting stuff like breaking cracked walls and freezing enemies (no, you can't use them as platforms). You can really tell the developer played platformers before, the layouts are nothing revolutionary but very well thought-out all the way to the final boss's pattern. It's not without faults though... There is only one jump height and the wall jump is a bit of a jank, especially with the oddly fast downward sliding. Some platforms collapse without proper indicator beforehand, some checkpoints are roughly placed too close to hazards and some screen transitions are too suddenly make you walk into a trap.
Neat 2D platformer, precision jumps and fun to speedrun, it brings back good memories. Congrats for the wedding and thank you so much for putting this game for free!
A nice relaxing soundtrack, with a gameplay mashup of mechanics from Super Meat Boy, VVVVVV, Dustforce, and a few others. It's not doing anything innovative, but it's a nice remix of platformer elements that you've seen before. This game is a steal at its current price.
