Not my cup of tea.
Awesome game, clearly inspired by Adventure Island 3, i couldn't asked for more! LOVED IT!
Decent Adventure Island-inspired retro-style platformer, but it's SUPER short. I beat it in about 80 minutes, and the other five hours I have clocked were just waiting for the trading cards to drop. It's a bit buggy as well, the controls aren't the tightest, and some of the designs are really hit or miss. If you plan on getting it, I say wait for an 80% off sale or for it to be bundled.
A Decent Indie Platformer with Room to Grow
Dinocide is one of those indie gems that deserves more attention than it gets. It offers a nostalgic NES-inspired experience with a variety of level designs, enemies, and weapons. There’s definitely charm here, and with some additional polish, this game could shine even brighter. That said, it’s not without its flaws. The story mode is quite short, the jumping mechanics feel a bit clunky, and some parts of the game lack smooth animations. There are also occasional enemy movement bugs that can break immersion. Adding Steam achievements and expanding in-game content would go a long way in improving the overall experience. I genuinely hope the developers are still working to refine and enhance the game. In conclusion, if you're a fan of old-school single-player platformers and are looking for a few relaxing hours, Dinocide is worth a try. However, due to the limited content, I can't recommend purchasing it at full price - wait for a sale if you're curious. Hervorragendes Retro Jump and Run im Stil der alten NES-Spiele. Leider gibt es keinen Multiplayer-Modus und auch keinen Cloud-Speicher.
The game isn’t as bad as I expected, I found myself wanting to go back and play it when I’d put it down, so I figure that is a good sign. The platforming is okay, and as you progress you can use points to upgrade your weapons or add dinosaurs to ride, which is cool. Some of the enemies will come out of nowhere, which means you might have to play a level a few times to memorize their cheap surprise attacks. There is also this ridiculous hunger bar, which takes away your life as you move through the game. It's not game breaking, but it’s extremely frustrating in a couple of areas. A future update that adds achievements and the ability to disable that hunger bar, would improve the game.
This game will be the cause of a ton of raging.
Kind of a basic platformer with weirdly slippery controls. Not ultimately a bad game, just lacking a hook.
There isn't much to say about this game. It looks old. It has old sounding music. You jump. You throw stuff. There's bad stuff. You can jump up on stuff and jump on other stuff from there. The dinos are cool because they shoot stuff like fire and you can only throw stuff like rocks. It's obviously made for speedrun stuff because it has speedrun mode. It certainly feels like speedrun stuff because it's very easy to hold right and jump stuff and time your jumps over stuff.
