This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Easily import maps into your library, format them, and add them to your campaign. Maps are then displayed along with fog of war, digital tokens, grid overlay, and more.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Built from the ground up for use on a touchscreen. You will not find a VTT that is easier to use or your money back!
That's a joke, it's completely free. There is no logging in, signing up, or any other strings attached. I make money selling hardware. If you would like to support this project, please consider buying a touchscreen or TV frame from me on my website (digitaltabletops - Steam won't let me link directly).
It is meant to replace dry erase or paper maps, but not replace any of the other aspects to playing in person. For example, there are no character sheets or dice rolls. Whatever tools you use, including pencil and paper, you should continue to use.
Keeping only essential features makes this VTT the easiest to use. You place physical minis directly on the screen and digital tokens automatically keep track of their movement and lighting.
Players who can't be there in person can join via their web browser to move their tokens. No fiddling around with network settings, just enter the 4-digit code and you are good to go.
Import any image, video (for animated maps), or uvtt (aka dd2vtt) file with built-in line of sight data
Dynamic lighting with fog of war, shadows, and time of day
Over 460 free maps are included
Built-in library of over 500 tokens or import your own custom tokens
One-of-a-kind touchscreen support (communicates directly with the hardware)
Remote control tokens via any browser
Add/remove walls, doors, and windows to any map
Easy map scaling and grid overlay
Collision detection to prevent movement into unexplored areas
Measuring tools for movement, distance, and spell effects
Blazingly fast on any hardware thanks to the Godot engine. No dedicated graphics required
Runs locally offline
Easily import maps from Foundry modules
Initiative tracker
Import external lighting
Weather effects
If you are looking for a VTT exclusively for online play, this is not it. Hybrid play does work well, but it is required that the main program be running on a dedicated (low-end) device. If you are already using Foundry, Arkenforge, or Owlbear Rodeo and get along just fine, probably not a great idea to switch. But if you are just getting started out with VTT's and play in person, I honestly do believe this is an excellent choice.

I use Digital Tabletops VTT with the Digital Touch Screen Tabletop I purchased from the developer. I love how responsive the developer is to feedback and how frequently they provide updates. A few great things about this software: 1. Compatibility with tabletop map formats. I love how it imports the walls and I get fog of war with line of sight as we move the physical minis around 2. Ability to use a touch screen digital tabletop and run the software from a single laptop 3. Ease of connecting another player view via the web 4. Focus on making sure the essential features for in person games are there without the rest of the bloat that other VTTs have for online play 5. It's free local software - not an online or subscription service. Anyways, I'm a big fan, use it at every D&D session and it makes the game more fun for me and my party which is what it's all about!

Holy cow, this is a fantastic find. It is simple but functional, it works really well for what it is, displaying maps on a tabletop. Well done! Just used it for an in-person game with a complicated maze map. It was a huge hit! Wishlist: A dice roller (partly because rolling them on the vtt helps prevent people rolling them onto the TV)
Straightforward and pain free. The easiest way i have found to do a in person VTT.
Thank you, this is exactly what i need for my offline set up, easy to use, work smoothly as well Here some feedback or suggestion: - Token: i have a lot of animated token so it would be nice to be able to use them with this so animated token support would nice. And my token is usually the top down view one instead of normal profile round token so it would be nice to have an option to rotate them so i can adjust where they facing during my session (same for other asset or image/animated being import into the map as well if possible) - Sorting: able to tag all my token and asset and quickly sort to find them easily inside the app
Works perfectly well -I just have a TV as a digital map case on the table and my players love it!! Simple and effective
Simple and lightweight. Perfect for hybrid play and testing homebrew systems. My only gripe is that, in GM Mode, some menu items become unselectable when overlapping with Tokens. Simple to work around, but gets annoying sometimes.
