This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Easily import maps into your library, format them, and add them to your campaign. Maps are then displayed along with fog of war, digital tokens, grid overlay, and more.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

About
This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Built from the ground up for use on a touchscreen. You will not find a VTT that is easier to use or your money back!
That's a joke, it's completely free. There is no logging in, signing up, or any other strings attached. I make money selling hardware. If you would like to support this project, please consider buying a touchscreen or TV frame from me on my website (digitaltabletops - Steam won't let me link directly).
It is meant to replace dry erase or paper maps, but not replace any of the other aspects to playing in person. For example, there are no character sheets or dice rolls. Whatever tools you use, including pencil and paper, you should continue to use.
Keeping only essential features makes this VTT the easiest to use. You place physical minis directly on the screen and digital tokens automatically keep track of their movement and lighting.
Players who can't be there in person can join via their web browser to move their tokens. No fiddling around with network settings, just enter the 4-digit code and you are good to go.
Import any image, video (for animated maps), or uvtt (aka dd2vtt) file with built-in line of sight data
Dynamic lighting with fog of war, shadows, and time of day
Over 460 free maps are included
Built-in library of over 500 tokens or import your own custom tokens
One-of-a-kind touchscreen support (communicates directly with the hardware)
Remote control tokens via any browser
Add/remove walls, doors, and windows to any map
Easy map scaling and grid overlay
Collision detection to prevent movement into unexplored areas
Measuring tools for movement, distance, and spell effects
Blazingly fast on any hardware thanks to the Godot engine. No dedicated graphics required
Runs locally offline
Easily import maps from Foundry modules
Initiative tracker
Import external lighting
Weather effects
If you are looking for a VTT exclusively for online play, this is not it. Hybrid play does work well, but it is required that the main program be running on a dedicated (low-end) device. If you are already using Foundry, Arkenforge, or Owlbear Rodeo and get along just fine, probably not a great idea to switch. But if you are just getting started out with VTT's and play in person, I honestly do believe this is an excellent choice.

I use Digital Tabletops VTT with the Digital Touch Screen Tabletop I purchased from the developer. I love how responsive the developer is to feedback and how frequently they provide updates. A few great things about this software: 1. Compatibility with tabletop map formats. I love how it imports the walls and I get fog of war with line of sight as we move the physical minis around 2. Ability to use a touch screen digital tabletop and run the software from a single laptop 3. Ease of connecting another player view via the web 4. Focus on making sure the essential features for in person games are there without the rest of the bloat that other VTTs have for online play 5. It's free local software - not an online or subscription service. Anyways, I'm a big fan, use it at every D&D session and it makes the game more fun for me and my party which is what it's all about!
Nearly perfect for in person play. After trying almost every other VTT to use on my TV, this is by far the best. I don't want to turn DnD session into bad videogame. I want just a digital map, so I can save time during play by not having to draw on drawing board. This way I can prep everything ahead of time and then just plug it in. Without any tutorial I've been able to make it work under 10 minutes. There are few features I'd love to see, but overall the simplicity of it is exactly what I've been looking for. Plug in tv, open VTT, load map, add token, play. No clutter, server or cloud. 10/10 recommend.

So this has to be a review of the screen holder as well as the app. The app is going to be great once I really get to work learning it. The DTT was easy to assemble with clear instructions. The app's creator was immediately responsive when I had an issue and started suggesting fixes for my issue within 24hrs. I am looking forward to using this more and seeing what features are added. Oh also put some felt on the bottom of your minis. I scratched my acrylic cover already with a plastic mini base.
I am a new GM and really haven't played D&D since the 80's/90's. This map system for me is amazing. I am building a Shadowdark campaign and it is pretty easy to build and navigate. I love that the developer is friendly, responsive, and quick to help with any questions. I can't wait until I get it in front of the players. I was looking for a mapping system that was for local play and most everything out there was either designed for online and cost to much for what you get. Love this software. I am also planning on using it for a solo adventure soon. I totally recommend this to any GM, new or old.
Love this because it is free! It is not too bad to set up and get going. You can save videos and use them as battle maps. Add custom items, animated tokes and all sorts of stuff. Props to the devs!
Great for a free table top wish i could have an easier way to invite friends
Great Free software that can be used remote and in person. Each time there is more to add and more accebility. The support is fast to.
I'm loving it! I'm just leading my first campaign as a DM and thanks to DTTP my siblings and I can hold weekly sessions even though we live far apart. It's easy to learn and easy to use. And the free maps are a great bonus. And it's free
Great software for running games, even on your own devices.
