This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Easily import maps into your library, format them, and add them to your campaign. Maps are then displayed along with fog of war, digital tokens, grid overlay, and more.

About
This virtual table top (VTT) is designed specifically for in-person play on a TV or monitor. Built from the ground up for use on a touchscreen. You will not find a VTT that is easier to use or your money back!
That's a joke, it's completely free. There is no logging in, signing up, or any other strings attached. I make money selling hardware. If you would like to support this project, please consider buying a touchscreen or TV frame from me on my website (digitaltabletops - Steam won't let me link directly).
It is meant to replace dry erase or paper maps, but not replace any of the other aspects to playing in person. For example, there are no character sheets or dice rolls. Whatever tools you use, including pencil and paper, you should continue to use.
Keeping only essential features makes this VTT the easiest to use. You place physical minis directly on the screen and digital tokens automatically keep track of their movement and lighting.
Players who can't be there in person can join via their web browser to move their tokens. No fiddling around with network settings, just enter the 4-digit code and you are good to go.
Import any image, video (for animated maps), or uvtt (aka dd2vtt) file with built-in line of sight data
Dynamic lighting with fog of war, shadows, and time of day
Over 460 free maps are included
Built-in library of over 500 tokens or import your own custom tokens
One-of-a-kind touchscreen support (communicates directly with the hardware)
Remote control tokens via any browser
Add/remove walls, doors, and windows to any map
Easy map scaling and grid overlay
Collision detection to prevent movement into unexplored areas
Measuring tools for movement, distance, and spell effects
Blazingly fast on any hardware thanks to the Godot engine. No dedicated graphics required
Runs locally offline
Easily import maps from Foundry modules
Initiative tracker
Import external lighting
Weather effects
If you are looking for a VTT exclusively for online play, this is not it. Hybrid play does work well, but it is required that the main program be running on a dedicated (low-end) device. If you are already using Foundry, Arkenforge, or Owlbear Rodeo and get along just fine, probably not a great idea to switch. But if you are just getting started out with VTT's and play in person, I honestly do believe this is an excellent choice.

This is my favorite VTT i have used to date, it works amazingly for in person games with a TV for a second screen/tabletop... the app/mobile options it offers work great for online play as well with very few issues . The features get updated constantly which is super impressive, the developer listens and make changes based on the feedback. It takes a little to figure it all out, and the features change as its updated so you may have to relearn the new tools.. But its Fantastic
I looked at several other digital table tops and this is the one that I felt gave the most freedom. Other software I tried had some features that this one didn't at first, but the developer pumps out updates that quickly fix issues and makes it even more user friendly. I've had several successful sessions as a DM for 5 players on a touch screen table and don't even look at other apps anymore.

Does what it says on the box, works well. Can't handle some giant hi-res maps I bought from Schley (500MB+) but that's fine. It's free and amazing and simple. A few ideas for the dev. 1. Custom Folders on the maps screen, so we can organise our map collections (similar to your artist selection on the free maps scren). 2. Folders on the Tokens screen (same thing). 3. Show IP+Port for the webRTC pixel streaming section for a player to join as well as the dttvtt code (so it can be completely self-hosted/offline/LAN. Server may go down, or you may get flooded with popularity etc, its a good fallback for more technical users). If this isn't pixel streaming and you are actually using a custom client perhaps make that available for download/direct connection as well.
This is the perfect app for running an in-person session with digital maps. There's also an option for someone to join remotely, but my group has not used that. The app is very straightforward, fairly intuitive and customizable. Being able to add your own tokens and maps is great, although there's access to so many maps and tokens that you could just run a campaign using those. The line of sight and vision options are excellent, and you can add walls, doors, windows, etc to your imported maps as well as the included ones. The author is CONSTANTLY updating the app with improvements, new features, more maps, and very quick bug fixes. I honestly can't believe that it's free, but the day I need a new digital tabletop I'll absolutely buy one from him and I recommend you check out his work!
What an absolute treat. Really so impressed with the simplicity of this. Perfect for in-person games where you want to do a bit of proper dungeon crawling. Dev: I'd very easily pay £10+ for this! Thank you.
Fantastic tool for the digitially local DM, and it literally gets better every week if not every day.
Simply AMAZING tool for TTRPG games and it has taken my GMing to the next level~! It's remarkably kind of the creator to offer this software for free. The table he created for a TV table for Maps and scenes is FANTASTIC. Again-- it elevated our weekly TTRPG game to a new level. I'm so excited to continue using the heck out of this TTRPG tool.
Fantastic lightweight in-person VTT tool for a TV table or other such thing. All I really wanted in the first place was a simple program that could work offline with some basic fog of war capabilities, but I've really grown to love the extra capabilities I didn't know I needed. Big shout out as well to the large library of free resources and the extreme ease in importing new tokens and maps only complaint: perhaps I just don't know how to use the program well enough, but if I am importing a map that has grids on it already but the outer edge of the map isn't the exact right size (such as the map edge starts with a half grid) then I cannot get the VTT to match up with the hard-printed grid of the picture. I just work around this by turning off grid visibility and making any tokens not snap to grid, but its a minor annoyance that could be fixed if I could shift the entire grid left/right/up/down
Holy cow, this is a fantastic find. It is simple but functional, it works really well for what it is, displaying maps on a tabletop. Well done! Just used it for an in-person game with a complicated maze map. It was a huge hit! Wishlist: A dice roller (partly because rolling them on the vtt helps prevent people rolling them onto the TV)
