I don't like the mini games and the fact that they left out PVP but all in all a good game.

Gut hat viel Spaß gemacht
I am only about 2 hours in, so I am still just starting out, but my early impression of Digimon Time Stranger is that it is really great. The world and Digimon themselves are charming, and there is plenty here to enjoy if you are a fan of the franchise. I was hoping the gameplay would not feel quite so stale, it could be more engaging, and personally I would have loved to see more otaku-flavored content or some girl/romance elements woven in. But even without that, the game still works and holds its own.
Its really fun and i like it and the story is good too.
I think playing Digimon Time Stranger while high would be one of the simultaneous worst and best experiences of someone's life. The gameplay is fun and I like the way the Digivolution system has been expanded upon in this game. I think it builds off of past Digimon game systems in a way that feels good. If you play games for gameplay, I recommend it. Sound design could use some work but the visuals are pretty, the gameplay's decent, and the systems are well constructed. The story is... a story. I didn't come in with high hopes because of how mid the story in Cyber Sleuth was. Digimon has never been a franchise with a great story. Time Stranger started off pretty well with a really strong hook and a production value I've never seen out of Digimon before! I'm at 33 hours sunk into this game now and I think I'm at the halfway mark just about, and... I'm not sure I know who the target audience is, and I don't think the writers know either. Every single story beat feels like being punched in the head. I have no idea where this ride is taking me. I don't think the ride knows either. The amount of stuff that starts to happen offscreen is a little ridiculous. Just about every cutscene introduces something that was never foreshadowed at all, and characters talk with immense gravitas about concepts that were never introduced whatsoever. The writing contradicts itself just about every other sentence, and almost every scene becomes punctuated by the Operator calling the main character to repeat the same exact couple of vague statements about the MC's father and how dangerous time travel is. I stopped being frustrated and started just being amazed at just how bad the writing is. I've started recommending this game to people for the same reasons someone would recommend watching the English dub of Ghost Stories. It's a train wreck I absolutely can not look away from. I like to think I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to a game narrative, and it's pretty hard to get me to call a game bad, but I'm pretty secure in calling Time Stranger's story (so far) the most high production value bad game I've ever played. This makes Cyber Sleuth look like a Del Toro screenplay. I have no idea what's happening. Every time I think I know what's going on, a new molotov gets thrown into this nightmare blender. My favorite part was Aegiomon saying "we must have gone back in time, the sea doesn't have a drop of red in it!", then turning around and seeing that the sea was, in fact, bright red. If you've never done drugs, the story writing of this game gives you a pretty close approximation.
