Reviews
After 14 hours in, Digimon Story: Time Stranger has proven to be an absolute blast. It’s clear from the start that the developers put genuine care and passion into this title. The gameplay is fluid, the presentation is gorgeous, and the overall performance is impressively solid. While there are a few Quality-of-Life (QoL) quirks—particularly around keyboard and mouse navigation—the core game is fantastic and well worth your time. 🌟 The Good Exceptional Optimization: The game runs remarkably well right out of the box. You won't need to spend hours tweaking graphics menus just to get a stable, smooth framerate. Stunning Visuals: Visually, the game is gorgeous. The environments, models, and fluid animations make it a treat to look at and play. Developer Care: You can feel the effort and heart put into this game. It doesn't feel like a lazy port or quick cash grab; the team clearly cared about crafting a quality experience. 🛠️ Constructive Feedback & Areas for Improvement Keyboard & Mouse / UI Navigation: The UI feels heavily optimized for controllers. Playing on K&M is completely functional, but navigating menus—especially exiting screens or backing out—can feel counterintuitive and cumbersome at times. A QoL pass or overhaul dedicated to K&M menu navigation would make playing on PC significantly smoother. Action Dialogue Repetition: Voice lines for repetitive battle actions (such as healing, reviving, or supportive abilities) trigger a bit too frequently with the exact same lines. Adding more dialogue variety for these actions—or an option to lower/silence action barks—would go a long way in keeping combat audio fresh. Lighting Balance: A small tweak to the lighting balance in certain environments would elevate the already impressive visuals even further. 📝 Final Verdict Despite a few minor UI and audio quirks that can easily be ironed out in future QoL patches, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is an incredible game. It’s fluid, visually stunning, and deeply engaging. Definite 10/10 recommendation—a must-play for fans and newcomers alike!
