farty it
Before I played this... I had a small wee wee, no friends, no girlfriend, depression and absolutely no will to live. None of these things have changed, but the game is pretty good.
"Die pig die" aka "Seas Dogs" aka "Battle World Royale" aka whatever is a really lazy Unity asset flip, a bunch of stock assets dumped on a basic action game blueprint and flogged off as if it's some kind of real game. Usually with these kinds of asset flips there's some greedy monetisation attached, but here I don't think the developer could even work out how to add the cash grab scam component to the asset flip game component. What do you do in the game? You don't do much at all because this isn't a complete game, you can just look at various badly flipped Unity assets. The developers abandoned this 6 years and 1 month ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
