I've been playing Devil of the Plague for a while now, and I really enjoy it. The atmosphere, dark visual style, and overall design are excellent. The game has a lot of potential, and I truly appreciate all the hard work you've put into it. However, I have a few suggestions that I believe would make the game even better: Please improve the game's optimization. The lag and performance issues make it very difficult to play, especially during intense moments when it becomes almost impossible to move properly. These performance problems have a major negative impact on the gameplay experience. Please consider adding a room map. It's very easy to get lost, and having a map would make exploration much more enjoyable and less frustrating. Please allow players to store collected Hearts and Pages, for example in the Chapel. I tried doing this, but they simply disappear. Since Mandrake Roots can already be stored this way, it would be great if Hearts and Pages worked the same way. The current level feels extremely difficult. There are too many enemies, and the enraged King moves incredibly fast, making the level feel almost impossible to complete. I enjoy difficult games, but at the moment the challenge feels more frustrating than rewarding. Thank you for your work and for continuing to develop the game. I hope you'll consider these suggestions, because I really want Devil of the Plague to become even better.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Absolutely Recommend! I picked up The Devil of the Plague because it was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance! The horror atmosphere is fantastic from start to finish, and the jumpscares actually got me more than once. The game does a great job of keeping the tension high without feeling unfair. One of my favorite parts is the gameplay mechanics. I really like that you're constantly switching between running for your life and actually being able to defend yourself. It keeps every encounter exciting and makes the gameplay feel fresh. I played the game solo during one of my live streams, and both I and my viewers had an amazing time. Everyone was hooked and really enjoyed watching it! That said, I honestly think this game would be even more fun with a group of friends. If you're looking for a horror game with great atmosphere, solid mechanics, and plenty of scary moments, this is definitely one to pick up. 10/10 – Highly recommended! And if you'd like to see my playthrough, come hang out with me on Twitch! 👻 koto_97
Devil of the Plague was a letdown for me. The atmosphere had potential, but the game is so dark that it becomes genuinely difficult to see what you’re doing for a lot of the experience. On top of that, the constant deaths and loss of progress made it frustrating instead of fun, especially when it felt like we were being punished even after making solid progress. After the fifth or sixth time of dying and having to repeat sections, the person I was playing with and I decided we’d had enough.
Viel zu wenig Content. Jumpscares freezen den Charakter und einfach nur ein abgekupfertes Slenderman, ohne wirklich eigene Identität. Schade.
