NFT Cashtrap with an awfully clunky empty wave battle game. You cannot change the controls let alone see the actual ones. You get attacked by waves of spiders over spiders. I see having 2 wepaons - but no idea how to swap them. Can I dodge? probably not - at least I can run. Weapon overheats permanently since the 3rd wave. And yeah then this is all somehow pumped into a Ethereum network NFT Metaverse. No thanks.
Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Microsoft Playfab" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.
"Destoria: The Withering" is a garbage mobile app, a simple 2.5d top down wave survival shooter where, well, you just shoot stuff by tapping away at your iPhone screen. The weird part is the lack of monetisation, the lack of quality, however, is all too predictable. It's a mobile app. It's on Steam. It's junk. What do you do in the game? Just wave survival shooting, that's it. There's a couple of weapons, health and ammo management, but that's all there is to it. No narrative, no reason to want to play this. This is a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this was ported to PC before or after the app store release, or even if this didn't even make it to the app stores. This is built for the absolutely lowest of all gaming platforms and must be judged as such... it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. I didn't pay money, but I still feel ripped off.

NICE GAME! =D
Before I played Destoria: The Withering, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
