Desktop Explorer does a great job of blending a few different styles of gameplay to create a unique experience. All of the puzzles are challenging enough to make you stop and think but not so easy that they don't feel rewarding. Something about this one got me and I couldn't set the game down. The story is also pretty good, though it's not the main draw. Very cool ARG style game. Also the soundtrack. The soundtrack is just crazy good.
Wonderful story, intuitive puzzles, I reccomend this game with all my heart
I played the demo a few days back, and I couldn't stop playing. I just finished the game and I loved every minute of it.
You know you've played an amazing game when you opt to sit through the entire end credits without speeding it up for skipping ahead. Desktop Explorer is not your typical point and click desktop mystery solver. It has the most unique puzzles I've come across in the genre, an engaging and emotional story, and will make you use your brain to its max capacity. I cannot recommend this game enough!
Haven't fully finished it yet, but it's such a great game!
Some really cleaver puzzles! I loved this game and though I may had to search up some of the solutions that's mainly because I'm stupid. But the ones I did solve I felt really smart! But there was one puzzle I HATED it was the first one I couldn't solve on my own >:( SPOILERS AHEAD THIS IS THE PUZZLE I WAS STUCK ON
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hated the code over the crocodile it felt like it was a trail and error kind of code like how was I supposed to know that the number was trying to tell me that it was [x] numbers deep I tried using the 0s above each corresponding puzzle tried just saying the puzzle [x] amount of times tried saying the magic word [x] amount of times.
I just don't know how I was supposed to make it to the solution naturally. every other puzzle is fine though even the ones I couldn't figure out I usually went "oh I can see how you could get to that answer." All's that to say this game is great if you're either smart or are willing to look up answers if you're really stuck. I usually spent like 30 minuets and ripped out some of my hair before looking on the steam discussions page
This puzzle game is incredible. Just the right balance of diverse and difficult puzzles. The story pushes the player through and slowly reveals the details. Great game. A+
Game has very tough puzzles, but the feeling of solving them just feels SO great!. The story to this is so good, It was giving chills the whole way through. I do highly recommend this game to people who enjoy stuff like this!
this is a really fun puzzle game with an even more interesting story to tell. some of the puzzles were a bit frustrating but most of them were fine and it could of just been because this was my first real puzzle games lol. I would 100% recommend even if they have a walkthrough on the side for some of the trickier stuff :P
