Depraved Awakening

I picked up Depraved Awakening expecting a typical adult VN and ended up staying for the detective story. The noir atmosphere is easily the game's biggest strength. Playing as a washed-up private investigator digging into a suspicious death gives the whole experience a darker, more mature tone than most games in the genre. The mystery kept me interested throughout, and I genuinely wanted to see where the different choices would lead. The cast is another highlight. There are plenty of attractive women, but they all have their own personalities and roles in the story rather than feeling like they're only there for the adult content. The branching paths and multiple endings also give you a reason to replay and see different outcomes. Is it perfect? No. The pacing can be a little fast at times, and some of the dialogue feels slightly awkward. The adult scenes are also fairly simple compared to some newer VNs. But honestly, none of that stopped me enjoying it. If you're looking for a story-focused adult visual novel with a strong noir vibe, an interesting mystery, and choices that actually matter, Depraved Awakening is well worth checking out.

Ok story with noir touch to it, nothing new or special but it wasn't bad either, and there were some typos in writing here and there but those were few. Girls are alright, each with their own personality. Some renders looked pretty outdated since this is an older VN, but there were moments where they looked much better. What you say and do has consequences and there are multiple endings, some pretty dark.

Great storyline and decent sex scenes. Loved the writing, but I disappointed/confused by the endings. It just doesn't feel like the endings really fit the relationships that were built during the game.

this avn is 7 years old (at the time i went through it), the graphics are dated. the animations are jerky and clunky, and the models are not as glam and polished as the AVN's of today. That being said, this is a fantastic AVN. It's well written and the the story is really good. i never got bored or skipped through text. The NSFW work scenes are done well and there are plenty. The NSFW work scenes all fit and flow with the story as well, not just thrown in for content. there are multiple endings and choices that influence your path through the story. It's also a complete story, no waiting forever for seasons or continuations. highly recommended, but again; just remember it older and shows it visually.

Bad Bad BAD artistry. Story is pretty bad too. Misspelled words everywhere. This is a definitely ugly game. Goes right into My junk and hidden files. IDK how it's so positive with reviews when it's so awful.
