11/10 Game runs well with minor issues, probably from how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insaine Denshattacking gets. The bosses are some of the most creative and cinematic parts of the game with gameplay so intoxicating I sometimes struggle to not trick while in the air.
Very fun and exciting game! I kept describing it as “Sonic but as a train” just to piss off my friends. I had a blast playing this, with such a beautiful art direction, a killer soundtrack, and constant abilities adding to the depth of the game it’s hard not to like. Level design is great, never felt like any of them were repetitive or not building off of each other. Didn’t super care for the race stages as it didn’t feel like it fit the mold of the game very well gameplay wise BUT the story reasons for playing them made sense. My only real gripe is forwards the end of the game you’re kind of overwhelmed with abilities and options it’s harder to keep up with. This could also be because I’m not used to this style of game so I just slightly struggled late game to keep up with some of the chaos it throws at you.
Renfe, aprende
Hands down one of the greatest games I have ever played. Growing up I would hear how legendary Zelda, Jet Set, Crash and other games were. I feel this will be my version of that when my kids ask what the best games were in my day. Non-stop FUN! And dare I say, the soundtrack surpasses even Jet Set Radio Future for me.
Trains!
This game rules. It does progressively get harder, by the end of the game the number of tricks the game is demanding of you is pretty difficult, but it does a good job of structuring the story so that you are being taught a manageable amount as the game goes on. DenshAttack makes you feel really cool. It's such a good vibe, by the end it's giving you that 'Hell Yeah!' kind of feeling. The music is another standout - very reminiscent of persona in my mind. The art direction is great, as is the sound design. It was made with a lot of love by some very talented people. Absolute blast. Reminded me of playing old PS2 games, which had a tight focus on what they wanted to do, with FUN being the north star for the whole thing. Highly recommended for people who want an unhinged hyperactive love child between temple-run and tony hawk.
Way more accessible than it looks, but you still need to put in the works. Buy this game, the ost already repays the game on its own. I haven't had this much fun in years. Probably game of the year material.
Yes yes ABSOLUTELY. This game is so unique. I really enjoyed it. Every level, every boss, every soundtrack every character: all of them had so much love put into them. The game does not take itself seriously in the best kind of way. Besides the trick system being a bit overcooked, and the gravity mechanic being a bit finnicky when combined with other abilities: the controls feel super tight and satisfying to use. Everything has JUST the right amount of feedback, and it's fun to explore what you can do. It is extraordinarily polished. I did not know I needed a jet-set themed train game, but here we are. I had more fun with this $20 game than I have had in the past 5 years with $60-$90 games. I hope Sega is shaking in their boots at the sight of this game, because it did what they can't do anymore.
Sonic and Jet set Radio had a baby and THIS IS PEAK MAN. Every single song is atleast a 8/10 or higher. every track feels refreshing and continues to elevate every level. BUY THIS GAME BRO TRUST ME I WILL BE WAITING FOR A SECOND GAME IF THE TEAM IS DOWN
