Un jeu vraiment formidable, sans doute mon GOTY personnel ! Le concept est assez fou, mais on se laisse vite convaincre par cette ambiance un peu dingue et insouciante, qui laisse peu à peu la place à des enjeux plus larges, au fur et à mesure qu'on rencontre des personnages tout à fait attachants. Le tout dans un monde aux paysages et ambiances divers, avec un contenu très généreux de 9 mondes bien remplis. L'ensemble est chamarré et très réussi dans son genre "dessin animé", tout en étant parfaitement fluide, ce qui est primordial vu la vitesse et tout ce qu'on doit gérer. Mais pour nous aider, le gameplay a le bon goût de ne se dévoiler que très progressivement, avec de nouvelles techniques qui viennent toujours ajouter de la surprise, puis du plaisir dans leur exécution. On a le temps de comprendre les nouvelles techniques, et on a plaisir à chercher l'or dans un niveau que l'on apprend progressivement à maîtriser, comme une symphonie. Certains niveaux un peu trop longs et difficiles, surtout vers la fin, ne me permettent pas d'envisager de les réussir parfaitement avec mes réflexes de quarantenaire, mais pour l'immense majorité d'entre eux, j'ai vraiment adoré m'acharner. Et puis quel spectacle ! Le jeu semble avoir toujours quelque chose de nouveau à nous montrer de plus décoiffant. Certains passages, dans leur côté "climax over the top", m'ont fait penser à du Bayonetta, ce qui pour moi est un beau compliment. Mention spéciale au boss du monde 7, qui m'a fait entrer dans une sorte de transe, avec un large sourire aux lèvres et des frissons de plaisir. Et les deux derniers niveaux du jeu... wow. J'ai moins aimé les musiques, parfois un peu répétitives, mais elles ont le mérite de très bien accompagner la folie des parcours à traverser. Même sans aimer les jeux à scoring, je pense que tout le monde peut apprécier cette expérience, et je ne peux que vous encourager à l'essayer.
Excellent game! Stacked and fun mechanics that are paced well throughout, so it keeps itself fresh throughout its runtime - the sense of speed you get in some levels is fantastic.
