So,let's start of with the big elephants in the room. Many reviews are pretty bad for the game, I gonna point out for me , the good and the bad. So far ,I played around 2,5hours and I would never even think about writing a review if I wouldn't get the feeling that I "mastered" the main part of the game. So the bad,yes the resolution is fixed very small (I didn't have too much problem after 5min of playing to get used to it). The pixel graphics are sometimes hard to tell exactly what you can interact with and what is just for show. The scenes on the other hand are amazingly well drawn, you unlock them being "cursed",which the story even tells you to go through for all the naughty stuff,so that's a big upvote. Music is in general RPG maker, standard. Nothing outstanding ,nothing boring. Pretty blant, you get used to very fast. The gameplay itself has a really good concept. I like the crafting to get your gear higher and then basically lvling for your gear and stacking it up like that. But the combat...... babylord Jesus ,the combat is atrocious. After you scan all your opponent ,you can basically "auto battle" the fights. Is there sense in it? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. You can auto turn it off or on but it is always a 50% if they do what they want or what you want them to do. And than the scaling, so as a hardcore grinder, I leveled my gear to the max pretty earlier (as I said 2,5h in the game and I am in the max quality gear),so why are there at least 3 types of enemies, that nuke me with AOE spells in 2 turns? Or perma sleep me and 2 hit me? The difficulty doesn't make any sense and made the game for me completly unplayable. If you look for an auto battler where you just wait and autobattle to get some H-Scene (pretty nice ones) and the small resolution isn't a problem for you ,go for it. I really enjoyed them. But other than that, I wouldn't recommend it, there are better fun games out there ,more fair and higher resolution.
DEMON'S SWORD SNAKES is the first game from the developer Circle E.B., with that said the game had potential but falls short in it's execution and the publisher messed up the release as well, delivering a mediocre final product with potential, that feels way worse than it should be.
Good
Very interesting RPG Mechanics that are different from your commonly used RPG maker/Wolf RPG battle system.

Turn-based combat, with a QTE mechanic for counter attacks.
Well developed Crafting system for items that is one of the main focus of the whole RPG.
Combat isn't required for level up, crafting gives EXP.
Skills are acquired by mastering weapons.
Story might not be outstanding but it does keep you interested in the main characters and the world building.

Bad
Pretty much everything else.

Game Resolution is only 320x240 that looks bad even on small screens like the Steam Deck, don't be fooled by the store page screenshots.
H-mechanics had potential but were not properly developed.
Lust system is interesting but badly implemented with high thresholds of lust to achieve and too little chances to increase it, it can be done with a boring and unrewarding grind.
H-grid/menu where you choose to spend your lust is confusing, unappealing and a shore to use.
H-scenes themselves have horrible presentation, with weird image formatting, positioning and too much flashing/blinking with even sprites flickering often.
Game has only one ending and feels like it didn't really end, getting you hooked on it's initial premise without delivering.
The worst offender, the translation quality is atrocious.

Conclusion
For a game that hooks you on it's mechanics and introductory story, the translation is so bad that it tears it all down, turning an interesting but slightly above average game into a bad experience. Wasabi is at fault for releasing and leaving the game in such a bad state. With all its issues, this game doesn't deserve the price tag, even if it had a good translation with properly formatted menus that elevated its presentation and enjoyment this would be a 8€ game at best, but in it's current state I wouldn't buy it for more than 3€. It's important to mention that the on top of the bad translation, the game does not have Steam cloud, Steam achievements or Steam trading cards, so even at 80% discount, it's hard to justify getting this. P.S.: Circle E.B.'s first attempt shows a huge potential, so I very much recommend you try their second game Pronant Symphony which improved on most of the concerns I had for Demon's Sword Snakes and has been translated by DLsite who did a much better job at translating the game, unfortunately it hasn't been released on Steam and it's currently exclusive to DLsite. I encourage you to follow the creator's ci-en for more updates or his twitter @Nakiji_eb.
Steam reviews are such a mess. Bad games get undeserved praises while a good game like this doesn't get enough praises it deserved. It's not as bad as they've said. The game is fascinating in its own way. If you've played and loved Pronant Symphony, I believe you'll like this game too. Game mechanic felt like an under-developed version of that game (not a negative point though, still had a lot of fun with it). Story is alright, while translation is a bit unpolished but shouldn't be much problem. Also, the resolution should be this low in the first place since it's an old RPG Maker game. You should've expected it. This shouldn't be a con at all.
This game has been on my wishlist since forever, but I hesitated to get it due to the mixed reviews. When it went on sale, I finally got it and I am glad I did because it was definitely worth the $6:36 USD I paid for. I have actually never played a fantasy RPG game before this because they always looked boring to me, (I got this one for the H) but this was the first of its kind that I’ve ever played and it blew me away (and I stayed playing it because I really enjoyed it, and that surprised me). At first, I didn’t like the game. Yeah, if you speak English like me you’ll have a hard time and you’ll have to figure everything out basically by yourself; you can’t change the resolution; and there are some bugs. But for the most part, I got over these fairly quickly and they only added to the charm of the game. After a couple hours, I became attached to the story and characters and the gameplay was actually surprisingly fun and time-killing. In my humble opinion: you gotta play the whole game to really appreciate it. This game is a hidden gem IMO: it’s fun, challenging, and charming; it has likeable characters; it has a fantastic world with lots of quests and hidden secrets as well as small touches (my favorite location has to be a tie between Walna Village and the Imperial City for making the world seem alive); it has an awesome story with an AMAZING twist (imo); the ending wasn’t the typical happily ever after endings and it left me wanting more (in a good way, as in I wish there was more since I loved the story so much). I really really wish we got to play in like a freemode after the final boss fight (I wanted to live happily ever after with Spica!) but alas, it was a melancholy ending (happy and sad at the same time). If you’re here for the H they’ve got it! Even if you’re not here for the H, it was still really fun and had a lot to offer. All in all, it was a great game, I really liked it (both the H parts and the game without the H parts). I really enjoyed this game and I had a blast playing it. Yes I will runthrough it again (since I missed a bunch my first time through). 10/10 would recommend!
Dont be fooled by nice art, the game itself is absolute garbage even by shovelware standards.
