Its political demands contain nothing beyond the old democratic litany familiar to all: universal suffrage, direct legislation, popular rights, a people's militia, etc. [...] They are all demands which, insofar as they are not exaggerated in fantastic presentation, have already been realized. Karl Marx

The entry of a socialist into a bourgeois government is not, as it is thought, a partial conquest of the bourgeois state by the socialists, but a partial conquest of the socialist party by the bourgeois state. Rosa Luxemburg

Support for and the development, extension and intensification of revolutionary mass action and the revolutionary movement; the creation of an illegal organisation for propaganda and agitation in this direction, so as to help the masses understand the movement and its tasks, methods and aims—these are the two points that any practical programme of Social-Democratic activity in the present war must inevitably boil down to. All the rest is opportunist and counter-revolutionary phrases, no matter what Leftist, pseudo-Marxist and pacifist contortions those phrases may be disguised with. Lenin

A quick and simple A/B card game that can be beaten in under 10 minutes. Interestingly, If you pick all the "extreme" options but turn down everything for black activists, you get a near perfect ending with a repeat supermajority and achievement of all other goals. Not sure if this works better as a critique of American society or of democratic socialism as a political movement, but neither comes across intentional.
if video games taught me anything it's that I can do better than the government today
Whether the weathered roots of your political Compass fall left or right red blue or purple the entertainment drawn from this minimalistic modern mass media manipulator is undeniable for like 30 minutes then it gets boring lol
While I sympathize with the developers' (rather obvious) political leanings, I found the game far too easy to be much fun. Where Reigns and similar games make it a challenge to balance the needs of the various factions, this game makes it rather trivial to do so. It's okay for the price, but don't expect much in terms of replayability.
It's a nice, cutesy game about treading the needle between fighting the establishment and political survival. This game isn't a "Go as left as possible and win!" game, nor is it a "Socialism doesn't work, you lose forever" game. I appreciate how upsetting the wrong people can lead to the powers-that-be generating a recession just to get you out of office. Overall, it's a balanced game with nice aesthetics. It makes me miss the hope of Democratic Socialism in 2020, that is only now being restored five years later. Good game.
Pretty cool. I got assassinated, just like the best presidents, but at least I got to tax the rich before. I'm sure the two things were completely unrelated. Novelty wears off pretty quickly, but for the asking price I would say it's worth it.
Maybe the simplicity is part of the message.
The game is exactly as it markets itself. Which is ok, but there isn't really any gameplay. After the first two runs, I feel like I've experienced the game and there is nothing else to do.
just a really bad game... socialism is cancer
