Quite the gem, that is almost free too. It has good atmosphere, music, sounds, story and lore too. Now it has some negatives too, like opening doors takes too long and you cannot run inside interiors... I finished the game in 3h, but I wanted to see, if there is any variation to the ending, as well as making another choice with the human characters. Needless to say, without spoiling anything, I recommend being a good guy all the way from the beginning. Unless you want to replay the game (+2h) If you get stuck, there is a guide for a slightly older version (only 2 names are different as far as I remember) of the game, that can still be used. There are also some free RPG Maker game recommendations in the manual. I know I will check some of them out eventually. Spoiler for ending and variation
If you decide to kill the 3 humans, instead of pacifying them, then they will not show up in the ending, nor will you see their "post pacification" scenes. If you decided to kill them, then with the exception of the Wizard, you get guilt tripped by the main villain.
I LOVED this game! It's got an almost cozy kinda dread to it, and it was just great to explore the town under this atmosphere, with this wonderful music!
Fantastic game - owned on Itch before Steam so playtime def is not accurate. This is a gem of an RPG Maker game at a really affordable price. I would highly recommend this game to veterans and newcomers alike of RPG Maker games as I myself am a journeyman at rpgmaker games this was easy to figure out, fun to play, and even more fun to replay. Hit this jam up.
wow!!!!!!!!!!
This would def be a great play for the Halloween Season, and NOT your standard RPG Maker RTP game! The narrative has a good bit intrigue to keep the player engaged without being too vague and the the pace of discovery is well-balanced. The battle Mechanic is really thought out and grows has the story unfolds and you unlock new things. Music, atmosphere and setting were all well made. Kudos to this
Honestly for a game that uses mostly default RPGM2K3 assets I was thoroughly impressed. Great story and amazing atmosphere! Will be doing a second play through in the future 7/10!
Played this nonstop and pretty much speed ran the game because it was that much fun. its not the hardest game in the world but it still makes you think and the puzzles are pretty fun and have you running all over the place. Didn't find or run into any game breaking bugs but i did encounter a bug that left me facing left for while. overall a great play and i will play again from the beginning because i missed some chests and only got 92 percent finish
10/10
You can pet the dog
Perfect mini-rpg. The slow walk is a perfect pace, I forgot I could shift sprint until I got to the late game. The beginning cutscenes had me thinking I was going to be in a much bigger world, and there was going to be an overwhelming amount of story to take in for the next two hours, Staying in the same town was great, it gets deeper without leaving. The combat pacing reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus, I enjoyed the boss/mini-boss only feeling. If you are looking for a game to kill four hours or if you want a nice palate cleanser, this game is perfect.
The gloomy atmosphere is pleasant and I've gotten a few jumpscares. Battles are interesting and there is good portion of exploring. The attention to map details is worth noticing. Nice game overall!
