Degrees 101
>open unity >find asset template >change nothing >feelsgreatman.png >publish on steam for a quick euro to grab from some kids In all seriousness, Degrees is an odd, "racing" game. You're being chased by multiple cars. Some shady gopniks probably made this. [+] Easy Achievements [-] You could've done better on the graphics, they look like they're made in pdn [-] Lmao, it's not definitely fun Meh idk what to ramble about on this "game" anymore. Just don't buy it.
Degrees is a lazy Russian shovelware 2D top down retro "driving" arcade game where you just drive around and avoid other cars. The longer you go the higher your score, that's all there is to it. It's put together very badly by the guys at RoBot/Reanimato.RUS and dumped quickly on Steam as a cash grab. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the poor choice of using node-webkit/NW.js instead of a serious game engine. This is a very poor quality toolset for gaming, sometimes used by amateur developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities because it's primary function for games is to make simple HTML/browser/simple mobile apps rather than full fledged PC games (and given we are here for PC games, you can see why this is a problem). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Degrees is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
I received "Degrees" in a 10 pack of random games from g2a, I wasn't expecting much from this 10 pack, and I was correct in my assumptions. I am reviewing all 10 games after 10 minutes of play time, and this was the fourth on my list. -THE GOOD- ... I'm drawing a blank here, I mean it wasn't terrible, just belongs on a flash game website you access by accidentally clicking an ad -THE BAD- Degrees seems like it was supposed to be multiplayer, it seems to be some kind of hide and seek tag game where you play as cars but I can't really figure it out, at first I thought it was only in Russian but after about six minutes i found the English button, thanks to poor translations it really didn't clear much up. -SUMMARY- Had no idea what I was doing most of the time, i wouldn't recommend, go spend your money on CS:GO skins or something.
Don't Buy it! Tha is all.
Basura. Steam debería hacer un poco de limpieza dentro de este pozo.
4/10! Simple little game. It doesn't take long to get all the achievements.
it's a top down racing game. F12 screenshots are not possible. Collect points by getting chasing cars from your tail or by hiding in bushes. There are 5 randomly chosen maps and 5 different colored cars. On some maps there are portals. If you are lucky you find a stuck car at the level borders and can drift through a nearby bush endlessly. 100k score should be no problem with this technique. the design is so simple and has nothing interesting . the game gets boring after 10 minutes .
