Great free game. If you haven't played Defective Holiday I suggest play it. It's free and very short. I think it took me between 20-40 minutes to complete. No bugs no issues. Simple navigation, the game guides you through the holiday and the cut scenes and the different areas from the forest to the airport with voiceover. Enjoyed it. Give this a go if you haven't played it.
Defective Holiday Positives: + Ok graphics + Acceptable sound and music + The travel agents voiceacting + Its free Negatives: - Bad voiceacting by everyone else - Very repetitive - No fun - Almost nothing you can do, and little to see - Reuse of the same looking scenery over and over - Feels like forever to complete - Not a game, and a really bad experience to play it - The view distance effect looks awful - Makes absolutely no sense at all - Bad "storytelling" Wow, what a negative surprise. Im glad this "game" is free. It lasts for about 45 minutes, but it feels like forever to complete. And its not a game really, it plays itself. You cant do anything, just be a part of this "journey". Sometimes you can walk around a bit, without any meaning at all. I understand now why its called defective, thats for sure. And its more like a never-ending nightmare than a holiday. Its a boring VR tech demo at best without the VR part, so a big NO from me. Total Score: 1.5/10 PS If you like this gamestyle, but you want to play something good instead ? Try Lucid Cycle !

This is an interactive art experience, unlike most games you would see on Steam. I would describe it as the mix between a David Lynch movie and Young Lean making video games. It's surreal, dark and playful. A big theme in the game is the blurring of reality, of memory and logic. As the player, you are slowly becoming mad, descending in weird symbolic world. Everything about a nightmarish holiday, and subconscious subplots. There's also a very playful mixing of interactive, pre-rendered and live footage. I'd watch/play this as a mix of a movie/magazine/walking simulator experience. I really enjoyed it and recommend it for contemporary/digital art enthusiasts.
I'm a fan of art and film and experimental interaction, I enjoyed this 100%.
I wouldn't recommend this game if it was free. I realize it's meant to be more of an interactive art experience than an actual game, but the execution is terrible. I also realize what the title of the game is. It feels like the title of the game has more to do with the technically/lazily flawed design of the game, more than any kind of metaphor. The game also has some very bizarre, unexplained, dark moments...not "relaxing" at all. It's like they literally knew they were packaging and selling a pile of junk...and we're the fools.
